When I was a kid, using a curling iron meant first grabbing the ends of your hair with a clip and wrapping them around the iron. I can still remember the smell of singed hair and the little crease the clip would leave in the curl. There was very little control and the results were hit or miss.
Fast forward to the past two years when my daughter has been dancing with an Irish step dancing company. The dancers are required to curl their hair into springy ringlets for dance performances. We’ve tried everything, from regular old-school curling irons to rag curlers left on all night to foam curlers, heater curlers, and everything in between. She was stuck either with wearing curlers overnight– not fun– or getting mediocre results with a curling iron.
This curling iron is light years from either of those scenarios. For one thing, you set the temperature according to the type of hair you have. Makes so much sense! The instructions are very clear. Also, there is no clip; you simply wear the included heat-proof glove and wrap your hair around the iron, giving a much more natural look. With a little experimentation you can do a variety of styles. Not only is the actual curling a very quick process, but the curls stay in much longer– important for a dance performance!
The curling iron comes with a little stand to protect whatever surface you set it on. It also has a wonderful box with a magnetic closure. It’s so nice to have a box that is actually adequate for storing the item.
We are thrilled with this curling iron. It’s perfect for the dance recitals, and my daughter is having fun experimenting with styles for every day.

This wand makes beautiful curls and waves. My hair slides smoothly over the barrel and even after being curled with the high heat, my hair still keeps it’s shine. I tried out another styling wand last year (priced at the time a good bit more than this Bio Ionic wand) that not only dried out my hair with each use, but made it seem almost crunchy. After several tries with it, I stopped using it all together. It just wasn’t a good match for my hair. But this styling wand is the opposite. My curls keep their shine and don’t look dry or crispy at all.
The wand heats up quite fast and it comes with a stand to set it on while using it so you don’t burn your counter top. You can adjust the temperature settings to what best works for your hair and it comes with the usual heat glove that helps protect your hand from the high temperatures of the wand. The base of the cord that’s attached to the wand swivels around, so it doesn’t get tangled up on you while you’re using it. The Bio Ionic wand leaves works wonderfully on my hair and leaves it shiny rather than dried out and looking crispy like my last curling wand.

I am ordering next one but if this one will be faulty I will not only fight for money back … believe me this better be working

This curling iron is amazing! I gave myself a nasty burn though the first time using it. Be conscious of where your arms are! This wand is incredible. So hot, holds my curl even though my hair is very thick. Very classy design. Also compact enough to put in the drawer/storage conscious. Really top notch quality.

Love this iron!!! Makes perfect curls with heat adjustment for hair type. Even comes with a glove so you don’t burn your hand and fingers when wrapping the hair! Totally worth the money!
