My Mom is a retired hairdresser. She’s got a lot of allergies and has been very resistant to using hair colour for years because of previous reactions. But when I started using this product years back, she noticed how natural the colour looked and the lack of a strong smell (I don’t smell anything) and decided to give it a try. She then fell in love with it and said it’s the best hair colour she’s ever used. We’ve both been using it exclusively now for probably 10 years. 🙂

Found this product years ago in a beauty shop while searching for permanent color gentle enough to use every two months and have been using ever since. It is important to go a shade or two lighter. I have medium to dark brown hair and use 5N Light Chestnut, which is perfect. Lightens a tad after first week, but keeps coverage until roots grow out. After the first application use a squirt bottle or basting brush to cover just the roots and never comb it through. This product is also very economical.

Love the longevity. Other products I have used do not even last two weeks. I am going on 4 weeks now and the color hasn’t changed. However I do recommend a very mild shampoo to help protect the color. So glad to have found it on Amazon. 👍👍

Herbatint is a great product, I buy under my husband’s account. Anyway it covers my greys 100% my hair issoft, vibrant and very natural looking. It’s ammonia free, paraben and cruelty free, has herbal extracts and was delivered on time. There is no smell to it at all so no stinking up your house. Honestly can’t say enough good things about it. I have the hair dresser do my whole head color change and dye my own roots. This is a beautiful color I also love the 5R which was a deep brown with hints of red that was one of my favorite colors.

I’ve been using Herbatint for 4 years now
It is the only thing that covers my very white grays and does not turn red on ash colored hair. I use a box 5c and 5n together and it lasts 4-6 weeks. By 8 weeks my hair gets reddish, but that is expected. It fades, but refreshes itself with another coloring . 20 minutes on the roots and 40 minutes mixed in to the ends. Used on Straight thick hair.

I have used four boxes of this so far. I have black hair to my shoulder blades. The color looks so natural on my hair and it also leaves my hair shiny. I first purchased this for my mom after she came out of hospital and grew a lot more gray hair. The color covered her gray hair so well and it didn’t leave any residue on your skin afterwards. So I was intrigue to try it out. The first time I used one bottle to dye all my hair. I only need half bottle to dye the newly-growing hair. However, it is not very good at covering my gray hairs ( I have a few above the ear. I have some gray hairs. It does last a long time. It is overall very good.

The dye doesn’t last for 6 weeks but I sure wish it did.

I’d recommend a shade or two lighter than you would normally use. I chose light Chestnut at first but then went to dark blonde. Not sure how the gray coverage is lighter than that, but this (in the “n” shades) covers my gray better than more toxic dyes, and the fact that it fades out slightly makes the line of demarcation much more tolerable. I would recommend shampooing after you color, and then making sure your hair is dry before you go to bed each time that you wash your hair. There is some color transfer when the hair is wet, although it doesn’t impact your hair color significantly. It also transfers on my workout towels when I sweat. Those sound like negatives, but honestly this is the best hair color I have ever used. I would also recommend that after color when rinsing out the dye that you rinse, apply conditioner, rinse, lightly shampoo and then rinse and condition again because this color can be drying. I love it so much though… I don’t dread coloring my hair anymore!
