I was really impressed with the trimmer to start with but after not using it for a couple of months, unable to get the trimmer to hold a charge. Very disappointing and don’t know if I would order another one or not to replace it.

This is a great looking set of items. Feels heavy and looks awesome. Honestly, I really like looking at it. I think it would make a great gift for a young person who maybe is trying to grow their first beard or some such thing.
The flip side: I have a beard. I give myself regular trims at home. And my wife buzzes our hair routinely. But even though we’ve had this good looking set, I can’t bring myself to use it. Maybe I am just stubborn in my old age but I’m not a fan of cordless hair cutting tools. Inevitably they die in the middle of my business. I prefer to stick to my corded Wahl. It’s not pretty but I trust it to do the job.
So I suggest this would be a good gift to a newbie beard grower because if you’re an old guy like me, you’re probably set in your ways about how best to deal with your beard/hair. I’m rating this set on the fact that it would make a very nice gift for a young person. It’s got all the bits so they can get a better sense of what they want. It’s also cool looking and would be more fun/exciting to receive than an ugly old workhorse like my corded Wahl.
I’ve given the set a test run and it fires up and cuts hair as intended. It’s a solid little unit but I highly doubt it will replace the tried and true preferred instrument of the hairy bearded old guy in your life. However, my 15 year old is happy to receive grooming accouterments like this. We just gifted him a small shaver so he can trim his “mustache” as needed. I know he’ll love to have this in his arsenal as well.

Battery life did not last but 30 mins on full xharg on the clippers. The “need oil” light flashed non stop even after oiling with the oil they sent with the clippers. The beard/head shavers pulled hair badly even after cutting hair with a #1 guard before using. ! Not sure if this is supposed to be the case but…..

Everything! Highly recommend this product to anyone who uses clippers. The quality is top notch, the packaging, design, and accessories included. For example, if you use clippers to get a close shave for your head (not bald as if using a razor) this works perfectly because it’s so close to your head it is perfect and your head will not get cold or get any bumps. It’s the perfect cut..you will not be disappointed…you will be pleased!!! Would definitely buy this again for family and friends!!!
