The quality of this flat iron is great. Well-made, not too heavy, sleak. It does a great job of straightening and it leaves hair smooth versus frizzy or sticking out. It’s narrow so it’s great for getting baby hairs, too. It curls well but with a major problem.
The iron plates wrap around the edge and are pretty flush in line with its covers. While great for the quality of curls, I’ve burned myself multiple times. I’m talking real burns like blisters, burns, and scabs. If it gets too close to my scalp, then it burns, and I don’t even have it higher than 310 degrees. There is no finger grip towards the top so if you are curling your hair, you better pray you don’t grab on to the top portion where the plates wrap around. I’ve burned my ears, scalp, back of neck, front of the neck, and multiple fingers. WTH. There needs to be more protection.
Anyway, the purple is nice and the price is right. I just used the difference of price of a higher quality flat iron to buy Neosporin.

My hair stylist used this particular hot iron on my hair and I was extremely impressed with how smooth it was. I immediately ordered one when I got home and I love it! It does a fabulous job without burning my hair. It has all the great features on it, like automatic turn off which is great. This was a purchase I definitely do not regret!

The lady who does my hair at the salon uses this kind of flat iron. I was snooping around, trying to figure out which one she used. I brought me one of these so I could do my hair on my own at home and my silk wrap came out so good of course I have to go back to the shop from time to time so I can get good trims but this is a great flat iron to have. This is a decent flat iron. I bought it when my last one broke, and this one was less expensive. If I could find a way to contact the seller, I would try to return it. It doesn’t heat up as quickly, and my hair has not been nearly as smooth as with my old one. I can live with it if I have to. I don’t want to waste the money, but I honestly don’t like it for my hair at all.
