Bought these to hold all my little pieces of soap and it works great. The material exfoliates comfortably once wet. I love it. Will repurchase when they wear out.

Update from 3 to 5 stars: I’m really glad that I continued using these pouches after feeling disappointed when the first pouch wore out way too quickly. Turns out, I just needed to adjust my technique. The second pouch I used with a more delicate touch. I fold the top of the pouch over, to keep the soap bits from slipping out, and wash myself with a lighter touch. I still get a nice gentle exfoliating clean that doesn’t upset my sensitive skin, and I no longer have to tie a slip knot to keep the drawstring closed. I hang it to dry on a hook that isn’t under or near the shower head & it dries nicely between usage. I still hope they can find a way to package the pouches without using plastic, but overall, I am very happy, I feel much better about using these than the synthetic shower poufs!
Pros: Lathers up nicely and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin (I wet it when I get in shower, then use it after I wash my hair). Love the biodegradable material of the pouch. Fits a whole dove soap bar, &/or whatever leftover bits I want to use up.
Cons: I have to tie the drawstring into a slipknot to keep the soap from slipping out of the pouch while using it. Lathers up so well, it uses up the soap way faster than I expected. More of an issue is the pouch wearing out, getting holes, after just 4 uses.
Not sure if they can solve the plastic packaging without their product mildewing before reaching the consumer, but would like to see that too.
So, I’ll use up what I have and try another option next time. If this company fixes at least some of these issues, I would be willing to try again.

These soap bags are great. They hold bars of soap of all sizes. The only downfall is that they are a little on the rough side. I know that they are loofah material but even when wet they don’t really soften up at all.

Works good.

A good alternative to plastic poofs, with decent exfoliation.

I had one of these from another source and wanted to be able to wash it while still having one to use. These were a great price point. Originally I was disappointed by how stiff they felt. I have been using one and over a couple weeks of use it has softened up a bit. I still prefer the original one I had.

I rarely bother to write reviews, but am so impressed with this product I felt I had to write this one. I purchased mine nearly 18 months ago and am still using the first bag. Only now is it starting to show enough wear that I’m thinking of starting with a new one. Having used it so long, I’d like to address some of the negative points I read when deciding whether or not to make this purchase.
1) Scratchy material – If you don’t get the bag thoroughly wet before use, it is a bit harsh on the skin. Once wet, however, I don’t find it any more rough than other loufahs. I am a middle-aged office worker who is rarely outside, so I don’t think I have particularly tough skin either.
2) Soap getting goopy/being used up fast – I always rinse the bag thoroughly then hang it to dry after each use. Doing this, I’ve found the soap re-solidifies between uses and lasts as long as or longer than when I used other types of holders. It may depend on your soap type though; I use all natural goats milk soap.
3) Bag shrinking/sticking to soap affecting lather – I’ve found this is true; however, thoroughly wetting the bag and gently pulling it off the soap is an easy fix taking just a few seconds.
Overall I think this is a great product and well worth the small price. It does exactly what I hoped it would, which is allow me to use the entire bar of soap rather than losing part due to goopiness and/or being to small to hold onto. When the bar gets to small to hold, I just add another one to the bag and keep going.
I just hope they are still selling these when I need to order more, which based on this 1st bag should be in about 5 years.

The 5 piece soap saver exfoliating bags worked well with my soap until I had to lay it out to dry and it turned mildewy. It’s okay, it just does not dry to well. I don’s think I will be purchasing these again.
