  1. Bookwalker

This lotion is very moisturizing but the results weren’t as good as other versions in the o’keefe’s working hands line.

    What I liked:
    – come in a pump bottle and dispenses easily
    – cream based that spreads easily and absorbs well
    – leaves skin feeling very soft and moisturized
    – little to no smell
    – gentle on my cracked sensitive skin

    What I didn’t like:
    – worked well to moisturize skin but was not effective on cracked dry skin on hands. Did little to help heal the cracked cuts on my hands.

Overall would order again for a regular moisturizer.

  2. NotCoolMom

This lotion is very moisturizing. It’s heavy but doesn’t leave a greasy feeling and absorbs quickly. There isn’t a scent (or if there is, it’s so light I can’t tell). It doesn’t sting when applied to cracked hands or heels like some lotions. I love the pump bottle mechanism.

  3. Angela

I have super dry skin on my hands in general, especially in the winter and when exposed to harsh soaps and detergents, especially dish soaps. The skin around my knuckles gets so dry it ends up cracking and being painful. This brand is literally the only thing that has worked well for me. It makes a noticeable difference in just one application. After a few nights of applying it and leaving it overnight, my hands look totally normal again. Its softens and stops the redness and allows the cracks to heal much faster. I can use t while still exposing myself to harsh detergents and have my skin look totally normal, I absolutely love this cream!

This cream is incredibly thick but its not at all greasy. It doesn’t leave any residue on your skin and soaks in almost immediately. It does, however, leave your skin feeling noticeably soft after application.

I have been using the regular hand cream for a while now and I had no idea a larger bottle was available. This appears to be the same formular as the regular hand cream, just much larger in size.

I find that’s its equally effective when applied to knees and feet. Or any part of your body that’s dry and cracked really. Fantastic stuff, I cannot recommend it enough.

  4. WhoAmI?

O’Keeffe’s is a great hand lotion. I’ve bought the little jars of it before and was happy to find this large pump bottle to keep on the bathroom counter. I’m a very frequent hand washer, so my hands tend to dry out, especially in winter. This lotion keeps them soft and hydrated. It absorbs really well and quickly and never feels greasy. I like to use it on knees and elbows as well

I was happy to see that the second ingredient listed on this is glycerin. I’m a big fan of glycerin-based hand lotions. They really seem to moisturize and the lotion doesn’t just evaporate away like some others

My suggestion with this lotion is to consider what a small amount would be for your hands or whatever you’re using it for, then use half of that or less. A little goes a very long way.

I find it helpful to have damp hands when I put this on. It spreads easily and helps it soak in.

This is definitely for very dry hands. If you’re going to use it as a regular lotion on your hands, you definitely don’t want to use very much or at least dilute it with water on your hands when you split it around.

  6. XtraSmall

I expected more consistency with this hand and body lotion. It’s nothing like the cream. My hands are so sensitive that I need to sleep in nitrile gloves with bag balm on my hands to keep them from cracking. I used this hand and body lotion on my hands in between and all it did was make my skin feel painful. My hands stayed slippery for too long as well. This is definitely more of a body lotion.

A few hours after getting and applying it to my hands, I can still tell they aren’t extremely dry, which never happens to me. Obviously one application won’t sell me on a product; I will have to see how it works out over the next few days and weeks and report back.

The weird thing is, I find the lack of smell, off putting. I actually hate the florally smells of most lotions, but somehow, the lack of smell is worse. This lotion literally smells like nothing and I don’t even know how that’s possible.

It’s a pretty good option that seems pretty utilitarian, in the sense that it’s no-frills. It doesn’t really have any (discernible, at least..) smell to it, it’s a fairly heavy texture but it’s not super duper greasy, and it lasts a long time so you don’t need to constantly reapply. It’s very useful for the intended purpose, helping people that work with their hands in providing moisture so their hands don’t dry out and crack and hurt.

The pump itself is great. 👍 Very responsive and gives a pretty large portion per scoop, so I opt for about half a scoop for my hands. It’s average in terms of price, so overall it’s definitely a great item and I am going to recommend it!

    5/5.
