I’ve been STRUGGLING with makeup in my 40s. What used to look amazing on my skin now looks cakey, too dry, or highlights my wrinkles and pores. I need coverage, but I still want my natural skin to shine through. I’ve always liked BB & CC creams because they’re more hydrating and seem to help improve the texture of my skin, rather than dry it out more. I had a good feeling about this stuff….
The color choices are lacking, and this totally looked too gray when I swatched it. It’s spring and I’m starting to get more sun, so I know my skin will get darker (even with SPF). This shade is surprisingly versatile! It blends so easily and almost adjusts to my natural color. Weird.
I’m obsessed. I can build it up for more coverage, or use a damp brush or blender for sheer coverage. It doesn’t seem to oxidize into a yellow or orange tint, and never looks muddy. My skin looks so glowy but NOT greasy. I can cover most of my hyperpigmentation and acne marks, but usually need a little concealer (I like Elf’s Hydrating Camo concealer, $7).
I recently wore it outside for 4 hours in 84° weather. I snapped a pic to show how well it wears even when you’re sweating! I still see coverage, although a little less. See my before & after pic: The after was taken 8 hours after applying!
I highly recommend it!!!!! I’ll be buying it over and over again. It reminds me of Supergoop, just a little more glowy and WAY less expensive.

I am a licensed esthetician and professional makeup artist so I have purchased and sampled many products over the years. I purchased this as an alternative to my favorite tinted moisturizer by Alastin. It is a good affordable alternative (not a dupe) however there are some differences to note. 1. It has a strong fragrance that I feel could be off putting to a lot of people. My daughter also uses Alastin and was excited to try this one but she said it smells like Jergen’s lotion and although she liked the way it looked on her skin, she washed it off immediately because of the smell. It doesn’t necessarily bother me but I would prefer it without the fragrance. The coverage is more opaque (more full) than Alastin. Not quite as sheer. It also has a more matte appearance on the skin and not quite as dewy. Overall, I like it. I think it covers and spreads well. It seems to last throughout the day on my combination skin. Thankfully I ordered numbers 23 and 25 and mixed them to get a better match for my neutral/pink undertone. The 23 does have a gray green cast to it but once blended on the skin, it does a great job of cancelling redness for that reason. The 25 would be good for those who have yellow undertones. When I mixed equal parts of 23 and 25, It looked much better. For the price I would say it’s worth trying out if you don’t mind a strong scent in your tinted moisturizer.

I’ve been using this product for over 10 years now and I absolutely love it, it’s my go-to redhead pale girl foundation. Every time I try a different product I just end up switching back to this one immediately.
HIGHLIGHTS –
– It’s been consistent for over 10 years and stayed cheap and easy to find (although I’m super paranoid about running out so I stockpile a little). Amazon always has it for around 15 dollars (although you have to be wary of getting counterfeit/imitation products), or you can get it from the Missha US store for around 25 dollars (they have lots of sales so you can often get it for similar prices to Amazon if you watch for them).
– One tube lasts FOREVER, like over 6 months with generous daily wear. The pump system lets you get literally every drop out of it too, I use mine until they are twisted up like the picture. This twisted up empty tube was still giving me full pumps. It’s crazy. You can get an empty BB cushion and pump it into that for cushion application & higher coverage, but the cushion will not have the same level of longevity since some product will always stay in the cushion.
– The coverage is medium-sheer and buildable with neutral undertones. I have sensitive skin that gets red really easily and the neutral tone and skincare ingredients provide a good amount of color correction and soothing action. It’s a water based formula that does tend to patch and cling on dry skin so you should do some prep on the driest areas of your face, but paired with a water based primer and/or moisturizer it’s perfect. The Milk hydro grip primer works particularly well for more made-up looks, and Missha’s BB boomer is great for a your-skin-but-better glowy finish. It’s a very low-maintenance foundation, I just apply it over primer with my fingers and it looks flawless. The medium-sheer tone also lets your skin tone through a bit more, making it more forgiving when it comes to color matching.
– The high level mineral SPF provides daily wear sun protection and largely prevents new freckles and sun spots from popping up, especially when paired with a second SPF that you reapply throughout the day. Since starting to use this product, my skin has noticeably less sun damage and I have not gotten a single sunburn on my face. Not once in 10 years. Not even in high school when I wasn’t using a second SPF. Despite being a mineral SPF base, I haven’t noticed a white cast or chalky finish. However, I am extremely pale, so probably not the best judge. I’ve also tried the next shade up, #21, and beyond being too dark for me it has a very cool almost gray cast to it. This shade has a much brighter tone that I find more flattering.
– The skincare ingredients slowly lighten patchy skin, scars, and dark areas. A WORD OF WARNING: this will both mask your freckles and lighten them over time. If you want to keep your freckles dark, this is not your product. It will never completely get rid of your freckles or dark patches but it does help even out your skintone with repeated use. This is something I was looking for, since I live in a cold area without much sun in the winter and the only place my freckles get really prominent is my face. If you want truly sheer coverage that leaves your freckles alone, a tinted moisturizer by an American company is probably a better bet.
