I was hesitant to try a retinol product, because my skin is very sensitive, as often happens with age (I’m 73). But since I’ve been using the Vitamin C moisturizers for several years without any problems, I decided to go ahead and try this retinol serum. I’m not disappointed. It’s definitely smoothed my skin texture, and it seems to be reducing the incidence of milia. The only time I’ve had slight drying was when I used too much, or forgot to put on my moisturizer after, but that repairs easily within a day. I continue to be very happy with TruSkin products.

Hi everyone 🙂 I am a skincare junkie – always looking for something affordable yet effective for my skin. I am someone who only purchases skincare products based solely on reviews and ratings so I wanted to share my experience with this particular product. I have been using the retinol serum for a few weeks (3-4 weeks) now and I have been really enjoying it! These are the following benefits I have experienced so far:
– smoother and softer texture
– brighter skin tone, dark spots fading
– skin around eye area is more plump, lines are softening and dark circles fading
– skin looks healthier and alot less dull
– very gentle, no stinging whatsoever when used around the eyes
– no fragrance and I like that the ingredients list is minimal yet very effective
That’s my update so far! Great results in such a short period of time. I am so glad I bought a back up!! Overall, this is a wonderful serum for a fantastic price. A great serum is essential in your skincare routine as it has effective ingredients in concentrated levels that penetrate deep into the skin to help nourish and preserve youth. I have tried many high end serums and this one is better than any that i have tried so far. I am always looking for helpful reviews so hopefully this helps one of you!

I have normal skin. And I always thought that I don’t need any extra effort to take care of my skin. This theory of mine was debunked once I started to get fine lines after my 30th birthday. Somebody suggested me to use retinol. I did a lot of research on how retinol works. And came to the conclusion that retinol actually helps to fight skin problems like wrinkled skin, acne, acne marks, and dull and uneven skin. Technically, it helps to unclog the skin pores, increase collagen production, exfoliates old layer of skin, and makes it a fresher and plump appearence.

This is a perfect retinol if you are using retinol for the first time. You can also get product called “retinoid” which is more concentrated than retinol. Dermatologist recommends to use” retinol” not “retinoid” [ again if you are just the beginner].

RESULTS
Believe me this starts to work right after the night you apply but it might take several weeks to see an improvement in the looks and feel of your skin. This is my fifth week of using this product. I can already see and feel the differences in my skin texture. The pores are so tight. Skin is getting softer and bright. People around me have started to pass good comments on my skin appearance. I regret that I did not use this product in my 20’s. Why nobody told me how important is retinol for our skin?

Again, dont expect to see the results over the night. This is slow process. At least wait for 3 weeks to see the improvement.

In the beginning, my skin looked worst after applying retinol, it was dry and flaky. I was worried and almost decided to quit. But again, I did some research and found out that it is normal. It takes some time for your skin to get adjusted. Once it gets adjusted you will be on the wheels of perfect skin.

Every other night after cleansing
2) How much?
Apply a pea size, rub it gently all over your face and neck
3) Can I mix it with other products?
Don’t mix it with Vitamin C. You can mix it with hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. But True Skin Retinol has both of these good stuff.
4) What should I apply after using this?
Strictly apply good amount of moisturizer after retinol
Just don’t wait and go for it. I will update here if I see any changes.

Have been using this product for a while! Love the quality of ingredients and that it’s a bigger bottle (bought it in prime day for the same price as the small one). Doesn’t make your face feel sticky, absorbs pretty fast before I apply moisturizer, and my breakouts were minimal compared to other retinol serums I’ve used. I haven’t used this product long but already more impressed compared to other retinols I’ve used.

Dropper lid has broken somehow. This must be the weakest plastic lid ever, it hasn’t been dropped or knocked over.
It doesn’t create a vaccuum properly now in the dropper.

It’s ok but must have a lower percentage of retinol than other brands as it has had no effect.
