This is a great deal! The gel is thick and not too watery. It feels a little bit sticky at first, but once it absorbs it’s fine. I got this to keep on hand in case my 5 year old gets burnt this summer. He’s a sensory kiddo and doesn’t like sprays or lotions, but he thinks the gel is cool! I put a little bit on him and he said “BRRRR!! It’s cold!” Smells good, like menthol but not overpowering.
I know it says it has lidocaine in it, but it’s a VERY minuscule amount: 0.7 %. Most numbing creams from the store are around 3-4%. This helps take the edge off, but it doesn’t numb your skin. It’s great for kids! ☀️

The key is in the percentage of real aloe vera, so make sure to check the ingredients if you’re looking for a higher concentration.For my needs, this AmazonBasics Aloe Vera gel worked great. I don’t spend a lot of time in the sun, so it provided the cooling and soothing effect I needed without the need for a higher concentration of aloe vera. Overall, it’s another win for AmazonBasics, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a cost-effective option.
