I bought this because i have sensitive skin and needed a sunblock that didn’t make me break out. Unfortunately it burns near my upper lip and when it gets in my eye on hot days I can’t see it really hurts. Won’t buy again but I generally like this product line.

Ive got sensitive skin. It burns during the day. It can be drying once it’s dried down after application. To be honest you can get better sunscreens of this quality for much lower prices from other Brand’s.

I’ve been using this for about four years, but only recently ordered it through Amazon, where it’s more expensive than the maker’s website but I come out ahead with free (and faster) shipping here.

It seems to do a good job protecting my skin from the sun, probably because it’s a combo mineral and chemical sunscreen. Despite having very light skin I’ve never gotten sunburned when using it, even though I apply it once each morning and that’s it for the day. But if were into swimming or outdoor sports other than an occasional walk, I would feel safer reapplying at some point in the day.

It’s not as inexpensive as some, but it still costs less than other brands that target women.

It has no added scent so it won’t attract bees, etc., but it does have a scent to it initially as you apply it. Some reviewers say it smells like plastic, but for some reason my nose interprets it as a light floral scent. Your nose may vary.

It’s easy to spill because it’s very runny out of the tube, but that helps it spread more easily and soak into my skin faster. For the first two minutes it may give a white cast, but that goes away as it soaks in.

I took off one star because the ingredients separate easily. I have to shake the tube well before using it each day or I may get a really thin liquid with white lumps in it. Make sure the cap it on tight after each use, or the contents may start to oxidize (turn brown).

I will start by saying that I have purchased an *embarrassing* amount of SPF over the last year since I discovered Skincare by Hyram, then Dr Susan Yara, Cassandra Bankson and finally, the beloved DR DRAY… It also may be sparked by discovering the powers of an FSA, but let’s move on shall we? ;-P I’ve tried a few sunscreens here and there that I’ve liked enough (Elta MD Tinted SPF 41, Neutrogena Invisible Daily Defense, etc.)– BUT THIS!!!!! —- THHHIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

By watching Dr Dray I discovered Paula’s Choice. When I decided to splurge on a few PC products, I was dizzied by the vast array of sunscreens to choose from and didn’t know where to start. I wanted to try them all since they all sounded good for different reasons. Dr Dray had specifically called out this sunscreen and their red “glow” sunscreen, so, to choose between the two, I decided to start with the cheapest. I figured, maybe there’s a reason it’s cheap. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ LOL! However, I am so glad I started here. My tween daughter will *gladly* witness to all of you that I’ve never been so embarrassingly smitten by a sunscreen in my entire life! (I am 38, LOL!)

    What I love about it:
#1 — $17.00 for FIVE OUNCES is just WONDERFUL! HAS ME OVER THE MOON!!!
#2 — It really pours out quickly and a little bit goes a long way (I do apply in LAYERS though).
#3 — It actually IS silky and matte and I can use it on my face (including the eyelids and corners of my eyes!) as well as my body. As I mentioned, I do apply in layers and I never feel greasy or heavy. It’s glorious!

I love it so much that I made my mom try it too (we do this with skin care, lol) and told her that if she loves it, I will get some for her as well. She did! I actually came on here to order some more and realized I hadn’t yet written a review about my newly beloved sunscreen. So, here I am! Making sure the world knows that this product is worth trying. Considering that we were paying $12.99(ish) for 3oz of Neutrogena Invisible Daily Defense (body) lotion, I think $17.00 for 5oz of amazingness is great!

I like to use both a chemical and a mineral sunscreen; so I start with this one and then, for my “makeup” I apply the Elta MD Tinted SPF 41. The two play together nicely. 😉

For some reason this isn’t FSA eligible, but I love it enough that it is worth buying anyway! Hope this was helpful. If even one person tries this sunscreen due to my review, and loves it as much as I have, then I am happy! *Insert glee emotion from Animal Crossing* ;-P

Leaves a white cast for a few minutes but soon after absorbs into your skin 🙂 Not greasy and i have oily skin!

The cap is broken on the inside so it won’t shut or seal at all. No packaging except a dirty piece of plastic tape over the cap holding it together. There is dirt all over the inside and residue on the bottle from the tape. I cleaned it off with alcohol before using it. It doesn’t feel like sunscreen and it actually melts into the skin and does not burn. The bottle size is good value and you don’t need much to cover everything. Giving a star for that
Edit: Theyll make it right by having me pack it up, take it to the post and wait for a replacement. This is a damaged liquid product and I’m expected to send this back (certainly with more protective packaging.) For such a prominent brand I’m just not happy with how things went.

I use this spf mostly for my body, occasionally face. Its very balancing, nonirritating, and effective (its one of the very few spf 50s that does not break my neck out! Such a godsend!) After using it for a bit I came back to reveiw it and I am genuinely confused why it’s rating is so low. This is top notch, particularly for an American sunscreen that is face safe. Did some of you just happen to get a bad batch?
