As a weekend golfer this stuff works! Smooth and silky application-it doesn’t need to be worked into your skin to avoid visual sunblock look but easier than a lot of other products. I’ll buy again!

I bought several different Blue Lizard products and am happy overall with a few exceptions. On this particular product, the sunscreen worked great, BUT… on the way home from our beach vacation the crinkled seal at the end of the tube failed and a half full tube emptied all over my toiletries bag. What a mess! I had another tube of Blue Lizard sensitive SPF 50 and a tube of Badger reef safe sunscreen and both were partially full and made it fine without a leaking seam. Hopefully, this issue was just a fluke, but it’s still worth noting in case it happens to others.

I’ve used Blue Lizard sunscreen before because it was recommended by my dermatologist. It works great, but it’s heavy and leaves a slightly white cast on my skin so I decided to order this “clear” mineral sunscreen. Well, it is clear and it goes on smoothly, but it’s very greasy and shiny. I use it on my face, and I can’t imagine trying to put makeup over it. The Blue Lizard products are great for sun protection, though, if you don’t mind the greasy look.

My husband is dark skinned and was tired of using my pastey thick white sunscreen for my fair skin. He gets hot really quickly and thick oily paste didn’t feel comfortable on hot days even if he was in and out of the water. I got this for him and he loved how light it was. It’s white out of the tube and quickly disappears on the skin. We also both tested it after playing in the Southern California shore break waves which can hit hard and wash off your SPF. We reapplied once after the ocean and never experienced a burn. I love this product now too.

This is an amazing face sun screen. I switched to face specific ones a bit ago as I found that my regular stuff would cause irritation a few hours later around my eyes. My other stuff is also blue lizard sensitive skin stuff, but I think that the stuff would just irritate the eyes a bit after it started to shed off. But to help against that, I tried the Blue Lizard 30 SFP face and it felt great, but it often didn’t have enough protection on my natural pale skin native to redheads. So I upgraded to their 50SPF and it works amazingly well. You can still get a sunburn with 50spf but that is under hours under the sun verse the hour and a half I was getting with the 30. I am now back to using my hat during the 10a-2p time frames and when hanging out in our yard after 3pm as we loose our shade. Blue Lizard has been a godsend for me though as they offer the most consistently well made mineral sunscreen that doesn’t irritate my skin in general… except maybe the eyes if I don’t wash my face off later. It is also super easy to apply and it is super thin compared to the regular sensitive 50 spf.
