I bruise like crazy. I am on aspirin therapy and I take fish oil and that thins my blood. I am a klutz as well so I am always covered in bruises these days. I was scheduled to have a minor surgical procedure on my nose (Deviated septum repair. Wasn’t THAT minor at all actually!) so I stocked up on three different brands of bruise cream. I already knew that
Arnicare Gel
did nothing to help old or new bruises for me so I went looking for something with more arnica in it. Dermend has 10% as opposed to 7% in Arnicare and many others. Although the tube I bought here came unsealed and I could not use it, I ended up getting it elsewhere before the procedure.
This is a white odorless cream which is more like a lotion. It’s pretty thin. It would be better in a pump bottle in my opinion. It is very soothing when applied, not greasy, and absorbs pretty quickly. I tried it on some of the bruises on my legs – the place where I always seem to be covered with them – and I did notice that the purple splotches turned lighter and then yellow faster than without using the cream. It didn’t miraculously make my bruises disappear but it did help. When I felt as though I was going to get a bruise after knocking into something or bumping against something, I applied the cream right away. That is when I saw the biggest difference. I still got bruises but they were far less noticeable and awful.
So, having Dermend and
Miracle Plus Arnica Bruise Cream
along with a really funky smelling balm that I didn’t like, I confidently went into surgery. Ugh. It didn’t take long for me to see that I was going to bruise around my eyes and even above my upper lip (and various places on my arms and hands). My nose didn’t bruise though so there is that. I used Dermend on one side of my face and the Miracle Plus Cream on the other. Miracle Plus does not disclose the percentage of arnica and that ticks me off. But…it works as well as Dermend on fresh bruises. Both sides of my face seemed to heal at the same rate of speed. The awful purple turned lighter faster than usual and I am still waiting for the yellow areas to go away.
Where this cream is better for me is on old bruises. I definitely see better results when I use Dermend on established bruises than when I use Miracle Plus. But on fresh bruises, both work pretty well. Compared to Arnicare Gel, they are amazing. Absolutely nothing happened when I used that and it had a gooey consistency I didn’t like. This one is creamy and blends easily. No one knows you have it on your skin and it doesn’t have an odor.
I will continue to use this on established bruises that just show up out of nowhere before I can catch them. It’s quite good for that. But, for half the price, I will use Miracle Plus for new or possible bruises after a bump or slight injury because they work about the same way for me and it is cheaper.
In conclusion, based on my personal experience, if you’re looking for an effective bruise cream for new bruises, this one works, at least for me. If you’re looking for one for older bruises, this also helps but there are others that are cheaper that do about the same thing. Or do like I do and buy this for the new ones and a cheaper cream for the older ones. It definitely saves money. I do feel that I am armed now with a product that will help me not look like I am abuse victim. I am always embarrassed when people ask how I got the bruises I have and then “jokingly” ask me if my husband is tossing me around. No, he isn’t. I am tossing me around by just slightly bumping my easily bruised skin against something hard. It’s the price I pay to keep blood clots at bay!

Since turning 75, it seems that my skin started bruising easy and has gotten so thin. If I bump or hit my arm or hands on anything, it leaves me with a cut and big black bruise. I am still very active and was not happy about always looking like I just was in a fight. I saw an advertisement on TV about this product that helps with bruising skin. I immediately went to the store to look for it and found it at Walgreens. It was expensive but I bought it anyway. I’ll never regret doing that. I am now on my third tube any my skin is so much better, doesn’t bruise as easily, and my skin is so much tighter and firmer. I am really impressed. I will not go without it again. Repetitive use makes it work even better.

This cream does wonders to clear up bruises faster than you can imagine. You can really tell the difference within 24 hours and continues to improve over the next number of days (depending on the severity of the bruise).

I’ve arrived at “that age” where the skin on my arms and hands (but no other body area) seems to bruise if someone just looks my way. I don’t even have to hit an area for the skin to bleed underneath but my doctors say it’s just part of aging.
This product when rubbed on the areas of the bruising and skin bleeding on my arms and hands helps those blemishes fade quicker. The product is not greasy and can be used several times throughout the day. I’ve noticed that it has also significantly evened out the skin color on areas that were previously affected. I’ve put this on my Subscribe and Save list so I can keep stocked and have available when needed and don’t have to chance not being able to purchase it locally. Another bonus is that this Amazon price is better than I’ve found in any local stores.

Was skeptical that a product could fade a bruise. But OI am a “BELIEVER”! This product is a little pricy but it goes a long way and fades bruises. Worth the extra doillars.

I 100% vouch for this product and have been telling everyone about it. I had liposuction on my hips in November 2023. I still had minor bruising in May 2024. I had tried red light therapy, lymphatic massage therapy, regular lotions, skin brushing, you name it, to try to get rid of the bruise on my left hip. I found this lotion by doing a Google search and went ahead and bought it. It is a bit pricey but is soooooo worth it. And a little bit goes a long way, so the pricing really isn’t as bad as I first thought. I can report after a month of use that the bruise is finally gone. And now any time I have a little bruise on my arms or legs, I grab this stuff and the bruise is gone within a day or two. I followed directions on tube (applied twice a day). If you want to get rid of an old bruise or just want to keep on hand for new bruises – BUY THIS! I will always have a tube in my medicine cabinet from now on.
