As others have mentioned, the pump is useless. Mine also wouldn’t work, so I cleaned it out and got water pumping through it, but it doesn’t matter: the lotion is so incredibly thick, it won’t budge.
So I thought I’d buy a dispenser with a better pump to solve the problem. But good luck getting the lotion out of the original bottle. I finally ended up cutting the bottle open with a serrated bread knife and scooping it out into a screw top cosmetics jar.
If they sold it in a jar or some other delivery system, they’d likely have a customer for life with this stuff – it really does smell fantastic. As it is, though, the search continues.

I love this sunscreen so much! It is so, so hydrating for your skin, to the point where it actually just feels like putting on a body lotion, not a sunscreen at all. So refreshing compared to many sunscreens! Smells wonderful too — a fragrance that is delicious but not overpowering at all. The pump is also such a game changer for putting on sunscreen more easily, I wish more sunscreens would offer this option. The only reason I give it 4 out of 5 stars is that I’ve repurchased this sunscreen enough that I know often at a certain point the pump stops working or doesn’t function correctly which can be a bummer and I wish would get corrected so it never happened. Though even when it does, the product is still so good, it doesn’t deter me as you can just use the bottom half of the pump as a stick to put on lotion if needed. But were it not for that issue at times in terms of packaging, this would be a 5/5 for me. Definitely my go-to body sunscreen at this point, and of course it’s crucially water-resistant too, so perfect for summer days.

The SPF protection in this product works just fine and gets the job done. But do you know what really makes this sunscreen INCREDIBLE?? You can apply generously to your hands and it doesn’t feel disgusting like most sunscreens. It pretty much just feels like lotion!! Every time I wash and dry my hands, I use this sunscreen. My hands are moisturized and comfortable for hours! And I’m finally applying sun protection to a part of my body that I use to completely neglect!! Although I prefer fragrance free, the fragrance is not irritating and it definitely smells nice. Silver lining: no stereotypical sunscreen smell. It’s also water resistant. I have a UV camera to test sunscreens and I’ve noticed that this sunscreen is particularly long wearing, which is great. It even lasts through doing the dishes! (I still reapply afterwords.) If you hate sunscreen on your hands – buy this!!!!!! I wish they would advertise it as hand cream – because in that category, there’s nothing like it!
