  1. Amazon Customer

I have never invested in a complete skincare routine until I ordered this kit and realized how much better my skin feels and looking better! Since I purchased this kit, I have bought several full size Eight Saints products and will continue to do so.

I especially love the following products:

-Down to Earth Swirled Mud Gel Cleanser
-Lip Trick Vanilla Lip Mask (I use on my cuticles, also)
    -Desert Rose Mask
    -Cloud Whip C-Cream

I wish I had started using these products several years ago and can’t wait to try more.

Oh & I am 62 – these products are great for my “mature” face 🙂

Best product I’ve ever used. The face wash is the best. I definitely have clear skin and the face feels so fresh and clean and it’s so smooth.

EDITED 1.2.22 to add: I have decided to bump my review up to 4 stars for a few reasons. First, opinions about skincare are very subjective, and while this product may not have been exactly what I expected, that doesn’t make it a bad product at all. I think looking at the other reviews will show you that these are VERY well-loved products, so I think I’m the anomaly. I also want to note that the Eight Saints customer service department reached out to me rather quickly after my review was posted to see how they could make things right for me. I’ve never had a company make that kind of effort without me asking for a resolution. I had no expectations, nor did I plan to reach out to the company. I thought it was pretty cool that they reached out to see what they could do to make my experience better.

HERE IS MY ORIGINAL REVIEW, PRIOR TO ADDING THE ABOVE COMMENT:
This is a bit of a challenging review to write, because there are some things I do like about the products and some things I don’t like – but I believe that finding the right skincare is a largely personal journey. The things I may consider “cons” may be the very things someone else loves. So rather than list pros and cons, I am going to provide factual observations and personal experiences with the product for you to decide if it might be right for you.
    Here we go:
-The packaging was nice. It included clear instructions for using each of the products. I was very happy to see that both the serum and moisturizer were packaged in glass bottles rather than plastic, though the moisturizer arrived open – meaning the lid was completely off of the bottle when I pulled it out. It was boxed up and untampered with, it’s just that when I opened the box, the lid fell out and the bottle remained inside the box – and it’s a screw on lid, so I’m not sure how that happened.
-the Microneedle Dermaroller – I have no idea if this roller is really making a difference or doing anything, but I sure do like the way it feels. If you have an aversion to needles, I do not think this will cause any issues. While the roller feels rough and tingly, I would never think of it the way I think of needles in the traditional sense. It does not hurt at all and if anything, feels a little invigorating, like it’s waking my skin up. It came in a plastic travel case that you can store it in, which was a nice touch.
-The Down To Earth Swirled Mud Gel Face Wash – this is exactly what it sounds like: a gel face wash. Despite that title, I saw the word mud, and expected a different consistency. I had expected there to be some grit and for the cleanser to be a little thicker, but that assumption was not based on any information from the company, just a mistaken assumption on my part. It does seem to be a gentle cleanser. I did not experience any irritation or dryness after using it. As for the smell, it’s definitely earthy. This makes sense to me because of how natural the products are.
-Seeking C Vitamin C Face Serum – I’ve used some serums that are very watery, I’ve used some that are very velvety, and everything in between. I would say this falls in the middle. It definitely feels more like a water-based gel type of consistency, as opposed to a creamy/velvety consistency. After application, there is a slightly sticky feeling on my face. I have always immediately followed it up with the Cloud Whip moisturizer, so I cannot say whether or not the stickiness goes away after drying. The serum has a light lemony-herbal scent. I wasn’t sure I liked the scent initially but have found it to grow on me and now I actually enjoy the scent. I know Vitamin C products are supposed to lighten dark spots – I have only been using this for a week, so I think it’s too soon to state whether or not it will help with that. I’ve noticed no change thus far, but again, I’d imagine that takes several weeks to become noticeable.
-The Cloud Whip Vitamin C Cream – this one was probably the biggest surprise to me in terms of expectations vs. reality. The product is called “cloud whip” – both of those words indicate to me that something will be light, fluffy, airy, etc. Clouds are puffy and appear very soft and light. Everything I’ve ever had that was “whipped” (whether body butter, cream cheese, butter, or cream) was extremely light, aerated, easy to spread, etc. This cream was essentially the complete and total opposite of light and airy. It is without a doubt one of the thickest, heaviest creams I have ever used on my face. Again, not saying that’s good or bad, just that it’s not at all what I expected, given the name. And I actually thought that maybe it was a temperature thing, so I put it in a warmer location and even warmed the bottle in my hands for several minutes before trying it at one point, thinking the warmer temperature might change the consistency. However, it did not. If you are looking for a cream that is going to give you a really rich, creamy, super-moisturizing effect, this is what you want.
The first few days that I wore it, my face felt lightly sticky all day. It felt like the moisturizer never really sunk in, but rather sat on top of my skin all day long. As I have continued to wear it, I would say that my skin no longer feels sticky. It actually feels pretty smooth, but if you were to touch my face, you could definitely tell I have a moisturizer on it. It does seem to be sinking in more so than it was when I first started using it. And I will say, it keeps my face moisturized for a LONG time. It is definitely not a product that I feel the need to reapply at all.
I am very low-maintenance and do not wear any makeup, so that is of no concern to me, but if you wear makeup, I do not think it would work well over top of this cream. I’d suggest using this only as a night cream if you are someone that wears makeup.
As far as scent, I found this one to very earthy as well. It definitely has a little sweetness to it, but when my husband kissed me goodnight the first night I was wearing it, he immediately reared back and asked what I was wearing (he assumed it was essential oils, which he is not a fan of). So if you like natural, earthy, essential-oil type scents, I think you’ll really love all of the scents of these products.

I will note that after using these products for several days, I started breaking out all over my face (this is NOT normal for me). However, I discontinued the use of a hormonal medication at the same time I started using these products, so I think that was likely the culprit for the pimples, but thought I should mention that detail in case others experience the same thing.

All in all, this kit is a great way to try several products and Vitamin C products are supposed to be wonderful for your skin, so I think with long term usage I will see a difference in my skin tone, discoloration, etc. The products are definitely smaller sizes in this kit, but the cleanser and serum look like they will last a long time, and while the moisturizer tub is rather small, I find that a little goes a long way.
Best of all, Eight Saints has a wonderful return policy, so if you try the products and find they aren’t right for you, they will allow a return (read their return policy for the specifics). There’s literally nothing to lose by giving them a try. But I think you’ll find that you like the products, and I think we can all get behind cleaner beauty products. Eight Saints seems to be a good company doing things the right way and whether or not these specific products were right for me, I do plan to try others and would recommend anyone to check out everything that Eight Saints has to offer.

  4. JA

I’ll start by saying that this kit is an AMAZING value. If you were to buy all the products separately, because they do sell the travel size products, it would come out to over $80. FYI, each product is the same size at .05 oz/ 15ml.

I’ll comment on each product below, and I realize some of my feedback is just my personal preference, so take it with a grain of salt, but I wanted to share my honest opinions here. For example, all of the products have a light scent that reminds me of a ginger cocktail. I personally prefer non-scented products, so just a heads up for you.

Dermaroller- Surprisingly comfortable and enjoyable to use, and it doesn’t feel sharp at all. I’m only currently using it on my neck, as I still have to do research on how to properly do it on my face, but I’m enjoying it on my neck a lot.

Cloud Whip- My favorite product out of the bunch! The texture is like whipped cream, and it blends smoothly into the skin. I currently only wear it overnight, but I love putting it on and it’s left my skin feeling supple in the morning. My wish is that it did not come in a jar, as I prefer pumps for packaging, but the jar is a frosted glass and even this smaller size felt very luxurious.

Seeking C Serum- This has been a lovely daytime serum for me. I love the frosted glass packaging, and it absorbs well into the skin. I’ve only been using it for less than two weeks now, so I will report back on any significant changes I see. I know with serums, the long-term results might take a while, but in the short term, it’s been feeling comfortable on my skin.

My feedback about packaging here is that the serum first comes in a capped bottle and the dropper comes separately, with the idea that you have to put on the dropper yourself. I didn’t realize that the bottle was filled up to the brim, so when I put the dropper in, it overflowed and some of the serum spilled out. I don’t understand why it’s necessary to separate the dropper in this case. So, pro tip: use some of the serum first before adding the dropper to the bottle.

Down to Earth- This was my least favorite, but mostly because the other two are beyond awesome. As far as cleansers go, this has a nice gel texture. I don’t wear too much makeup, so I can’t say if this will clean makeup, but it does leave my skin feeling clean of any oil and dirt. My feedback here is that the scent seems much stronger than for the other products, and as I’ve stated above, I prefer non-scented products.

Overall, I am giving 5 stars because of the value and because it’s an excellent kit to try out Eight Saints. If you’re on the fence about trying this brand, I’d recommend this kit.
