What caught my eye when looking for a tanning lotion this year was the name of the lotion “Sicilian.” I’m 100% Sicilian and don’t have a problem getting a nice tan but the problem I find with most lotions is the first time I use them I get a slight burn. Nothing too bad but still a pinkish/red color. The first time I used the “Sicilian” lotion I got a nice golden glowing tan. This lotion smells great, it’s not greasy or too creamy and goes on smoothly without leaving your hands full of excess lotion like some of the others. It is a little pricey but a little goes a long way and it’s worth it to me. Keep in mind if you have very light skin you should start with sun screen protection until you build up a base tan or you’ll definitely burn to a crisp. I also don’t lay out in the sun for hours. Fifteen to twenty minutes on each side is good enough for me. I would definitely recommend this lotion for anyone looking to build up their tan to a nice golden glow.

I usually a purchase designer skin tanning lotions but decided to give this one a try. My skin tone needs to burn a little bit, but then it turns into a nice tan. So I like lotions that have the added bronzer. This one has a nice price point compared to designer skin, but it doesn’t give you the color like they do. It’s not the worst, but I am just not seeing the results that I had hoped for that I got with ones like Misbehaved. Smell isn’t bad. It’s lightweight. Better than nothing but if you want quick results, you’ll need something stronger.

Went to the pool with my in-laws and my MIL was using this. I could smell her from across the table and it made me want it so I ordered it on the spot. It came the next day and I slathered it on as a body lotion just because I like the smell. I apparently lack reading comprehension skills because I didn’t realize it was also bronzing which a few hours later was a nice surprise! I use it a few times a week just to keep a nice tan even if I’m not going out in the sun every day for hours or whatever, plus it just smells great.

For some reason this product peeled on my skin When I put it on and and started to spread it on. It started to creat little balls of the lotion. Seemed like a very old product.

We went to the beach couple of weeks ago and I got some tan, and I use this lotion to keep my tan going. I love the scent and I apply this in the morning like a body lotion and at night. So far I still look tan but not as dark as I would like to LOL. It also doesn’t stain my hands, I still do wash it off after application but it does stain under my finger nails ( I have long nails). I just don’t like the bottle, product don’t come out easy so I keep it stored upside down, I wish it has a pump.

I absolutely love this stuff. Even after the first 12 minute session you’d have thought I was tanning in a tropical country! It gives you that beautiful brown bronze colour opposed to that fake orange that some give you, it doesn’t have that overpowering coconut scent either, infect it had a light airy almost like cologne scent but in the best way possible! Don’t skip this one it don’t steer you wrong! This photo of after using it twice!

I should note I just got this and used it about 4 hours ago so I’ll probably update when I have a couple weeks results but I’m so happy with the results I’ve already seen I couldn’t resist reviewing. Yesterday I laid out in the sun for about 2 hours with my normal tanning oil spray and saw 0 color change. Went out today after liberally applying Sicilian and it worked so well I actually started getting a little red. I laid out for maybe 40 minutes. Same time of day, same UV index.
I see a lot of people complaining about the smell but I really don’t notice it too much. You can definitely smell it when it goes on and I personally think it smells lovely but it does fade into a bit more subtle scent (as most lotions do). I guess if I really press my face into my arm I can barely catch a “spray tan” smell but it’s extremely faint and unless you have someone smash their face into your skin it’s pretty unnoticeable. You could definitely cover it up with a mild scented lotion if desired.
One thing I would note is be careful if you don’t have a base tan. This works VERY fast. I’m half south Asian so it takes a lot for me to burn and I grew up in Tucson so I’m pretty used to heavy sun but this stuff managed to get me mildly red. Whatever your normal tanning session is, I’d recommend cutting it in half the first time you use it. I’m one of those “oh don’t worry I never burn” type people but honestly had I been out 20 minutes longer I probably would be a little lobstery. Granted I don’t have a base yet so if you’re already far along in your tanning then there’s probably less need for caution.
Some people have also mentioned streaking but I haven’t noticed any steaks at all. I did rub it in very well though and very liberally. However it may develop more in the next 24 hours but so far no streaks and no orange tones. Not even on my hands but I also washed them several times directly after applying. This is the first bronzer/accelerator that HASNT streaked aside from Beach Bunny Black that I used in high school (also a very good product).
It also soaks in EXTREMELY fast and it moisturizes so well, my skin feels so soft and I wasn’t worried about transfer because it dried within 5 minutes. Also keep this in mind when rub it in, you really want to make sure you rub in in well and even as soon as it hits your skin to avoid being blotchy, streaky.
Overall I’m extremely pleased and I highly recommend this product, will definitely be buying again.
