I love this sunblock for my face. It’s got a nice matte finish that keeps my hair and my bangs from sticking. It blends and absorbs quickly. It leaves my skin feeling soft with zero tackiness to it. It has a mild citrus scent. It doesn’t linger long. I love that it doesn’t make my face look greasy. In one of my photos, you’ll see how smooth of a matte finish it has almost immediately after applying it. It works well under makeup or just by itself. A little goes a long way.

Dr. Jart+ is an iconic brand when it comes to sunscreen and I have used it on my face for years. Like other SPF levels from Dr. Jart, this Every Day Sun SPF50 does not irritate my sensitive skin. I love using this higher level to prevent hyperpigmentation and sun damage in general. What I also appreciate is the creamy matte finish. It works fine over serums and under makeup with no peeling. This is a mineral sunscreen but it doesn’t leave a white cast on your skin. It is basically invisible. It also does not contain dangerous chemical sunscreens that can be absorbed by the body. The scent is a very faint citrus plus that sunscreen scent. I don’t smell it after it’s on.

This is a 1.69 fl oz squeeze tube that will last me a long time as I will be saving this for face, neck and chest. I like that the cap clicks closed to prevent leaks. Dr. Jart is manufactured in Canada. I wish there were an expiration date included but I use sunscreens a couple years if they are still around.

Quality protection and performance. Highly recommend!

Dr Jart is hit or miss for me, but this product is a winner. It’s a physical sunscreen which means it combines zinc dioxide and titanium dioxide, and is safe for everyday use.

The sunscreen is thicker than some, which means I can dispense exactly as much as I want. Because it’s thick, it takes some extra time to rub into the skin, and for me, it’s a little bit heavy for my face. I do like it on my hands/arms/legs, and the fact that it’s SPF 50 means that I feel protected in the bright California sun.

With any physical sunscreen, there will almost always be a hint of a white cast. It is barely perceptible with the Dr Jart product, and for me the tradeoff (safety vs no-white-cast) is worth it. It is competitively priced for a quality physical sunscreen, and there is no discernible scent.

My Dr. Jart+ Mineral Sunscreen arrived in a nicely designed box that shows information about the product as well as a list of ingredients and directions for use. The product is made in Canada. Inside is a beautifully designed tube, the cover of which snaps shut. The tiny dispenser hole was sealed with a piece of foil. No date of expiration date is shown either on the box or the tube.

I have tried numerous sunscreens, and this certainly ranks as one of the best from my standpoint for a couple of reasons. Physical (mineral) sunscreens tend to be thick and difficult to apply. More expensive versions are thinner and easier to apply. Chemical sunscreens also fall into the category of being easier to apply but can cost less. Physical sunscreens work by reflecting the sun’s rays, and chemical sunscreens work by absorbing the sun’s rays. They, then, are absorbed into the skin as opposed to the physical sunscreens, which are not. There is, however, a little confusion here. Physical sunscreens can either use microparticles, which are too large to be absorbed into the skin, or nanoparticles, which are tiny enough to be absorbed. Physical sunscreens with microparticles will stain clothing. This product does not state whether microparticles or nanoparticles are used, but my assumption, due to being able to feel it on top of my skin, indicates to me that microparticles are used. Also, microparticles will very likely make the product visible in terms of leaving a white cast, as opposed to nanoparticle physical sunscreens or chemical sunscreens. Some physical sunscreens use tints to hide the white cast. This Dr. Jart+ Sunscreen, which appears to use microparticles, is not tinted and does not leave a white cast. It is also not watered down as much as those thinner physical sunscreens referred to above. It does, however, go on easily and become invisible. I have not tested its ability to stain, but my assumption is that it will. Its active ingredients and the percentages used indicate a powerful and effective sunscreen, and I highly recommend it. I have paid more for the tiny bottles of thinner physical sunscreens because they are much better in terms of appearance and ease of application, which enhance effectiveness. Also, those tiny bottles last longer than you would think due to the fact that less product is needed in order to provide protection.

I am happy to recommend Dr. Jart+ Mineral Sunscreen because of its invisibility, ease of application, active ingredients (both zinc oxide and titanium dioxide and percentages of those), and, silly me, the beautifully designed packaging. The one criticism I would have is that no expiration date is given. Sunscreens typically last for two years, so that is what I will go by. This is a superior product that, in my opinion, will not disappoint.

Ok, confession – I will not be reapplying this every 2h like it says. But I do feel good about putting on a sunscreen base below my mineral makeup in the morning. This has a very light, pleasant scent. It feels light, and leaves no white cast. I can’t say if it is moisturizing, but it goes on cleanly and does not irritate my sensitive, acne-prone skin. It also does not create a tacky or sticky feeling base, which is good for my powder-based makeup. Overall, really happy with this.

I have tried this sunscreen during a couple of trips to the lake. I apply it to my face and my neck and I’m really happy with how it feels. A lot of sunscreens end up being too heavy or oily for my face. However this one is lightweight and doesn’t leave much sheen. The description says it can be used as a base for makeup, but I have not tried this. I can see how this could work nicely under foundation as it isn’t overly slippery and has a matte finish.

This brand consistently makes sunscreens that work on every skin tone whether they are mineral or chemical they always melt into the skin with no white cast. I don’t know how they’re able to do it but they excel every time! This one is matte so perfect for fall/winter it feels hydrating without feeling greasy the formula is quite lightweight. The packing is always premium and has that fun pop of color.
I love this brands sunscreen it’s expensive but it’s quality and it works!
