I’m in my 60’s, used to tan like crazy back before we knew the potential dangers of tanning. But, I miss being tan. So I decided to take the plunge and order a St. Tropez Purity Kit. I exfoliated in the shower, then carefully applied the product to my face and body. The facial water is absolutely fabulous! It works like magic, just spritz a little bit on and voila! A nice, lightly-tanned complexion. Then the body. I used the mitt and carefully, in circular motions, applied the body water. My arms (where I already had the slightest bit of tan) took the product well. The tan is light, but not streaky on my arms. Legs- meh, not so great. Lower legs really didn’t tan at all that I can see; upper legs are such a slight color that I can’t really call them “tan.” The product worked well on my hands, but the feet- yikes! Still that old, somewhat streaky, inconsistent color around my toes. As for scent, the face water stinks, a really odd smell, but it doesn’t linger. The body water smells wonderful, and the nice scent remains just enough to be good. NOW, one problem I had is that the tanning water went through the mitt and left orangey splotches on some of my fingers. Maybe a thicker mitt would help? So all in all, I’m pleased with the product so far…I will make a few adjustments next time, such as more carefully applying moisturizer around my toes and maybe trying a different mitt.

Read the instructions twice then apply, take your time and you should get good results.
Seems pricey for a starter kit but it’s a high end brand and does give good results.

The last time I used self-tanner was over 20 years ago and it wasn’t great. Application was messy and end result was not satisfying.
I was pleasantly surprised by this product! Application was super easy and the end result was amazing. I will definitely buy this product again. I give it my highest recommendation!

I have tried so many tanning lotions. A lot of them make you orange or look so fake. This tanning lotion the best I’ve ever tried. You look so natural. It’s a lighter tan so it doesn’t look fake. Highly recommend

This develops into a very orange tan! It went on nice and evenly but I don’t want to look like an oompa loompa so if your pale like me do not buy this. 🤣😂

I did a test of these products on my feet! Thankfully in the current weather they will be covered by socks lol. The mousse is easy to apply and goes on well with the mitt. It smells very nice – I was expecting it to have a coconut scent but, thankfully, it doesn’t. I applied it before bed and when I awoke the next day I had a tanned left foot.
I didn’t fancy the idea of testing the face mist on my face so I sprayed it on my right foot. It came out quite patchy – I am pretty sure this is down to technique rather than the product. Since it is not an aerosol spray, you kind of have to spray it in spurts and I believe this is how I ended up with patches. Possibly in the future I will just spray it on the mitt and then wipe it on my face.
I’m not sure about it being ‘naturally derived’ though, with its very long list of ingredients. Eg. Ethoxydiglycol is listed online as a synthetic solvent… yes, reportedly safe, but not exactly natural?

The face water is amazing. Use it for 2-3 days in a row and you’ll have a great natural looking tan. It’s super easy to apply – just spray the mist and move on. Do not apply lotion or makeup for a couple of hours after you spray (even if the spray has dried), or it seems to kind of wash it off. I use the face spray regularly now, about 4 times a week. The tanning foam for the body dries quickly and does not smell. Doesn’t stain or rub off on clothes. It’s not as potent as your typical tanner; you have to use it about 3 days in a row to see a noticeable difference in color.

The application of the product was easy enough & the mitt was super handy & soft to use. The smell of the product changes after about an hour in & gradually seemed to get stronger throughout the day. This made me feel self conscious. Smelt similar to getting out of a tanning bed. The tan didn’t have as much of a result as I anticipated after leaving it on for the full 8 hours before showering. As a first timer, perhaps I didn’t use enough of the product? I did exfoliate the night before & moisturized before applying. The smell of the product was unpleasant to me & it seemed to linger a bit even after a shower. Product also left me feeling a bit sticky throughout the day.

Overall this is a decent kit and provides you with everything you need for a gentle self tan at home. The only thing lacking, I felt, was detailed instructions on how best to use the kit. It sort of assumes you know what you’re doing already which is fine for some, but not for beginners.
That aside, the self tan provides a subtle “glow” that increases with multiple applications. It’s easy to apply using the mitt and I was happy with the results on my pale, British skin!

I am a big fan of Coco & Eve self tanner (highly recommend)! I have pale skin but love a natural looking tan in the summer. For my recent trip to Italy, I wanted to bring a self tan option with me since it was a 3 week trip. I thought this travel sized option would be perfect. Was very disappointed – added little to no color!

The spray bottle for face has a bad smell. The mitt is great for application. I like that the color is natural- no bronzing, it can still steel just not in orange, but far less than other brands
