  1. Lost in the Crowd

Youth to the People is an innovative line that combines superfoods with cosmetic science. With this hand wash I get the antioxidant benefits of kale every time I wash my hands! I admit I like it most for the fragrance which lingers on your hands well after washing. It’s a scent pleasing to all family members here, a peppery, spicy cedarwood fragrance that just smells organic and natural to me. I also like the consistency which is not at all liquidy and impossible to splatter onto your clothing. It lathers well, a plus because I can use it sparingly as it is a pricey treat. My hands do not feel dry afterwards. I appreciate that because hand lotion is often an afterthought for me.

This is a weighty 16 oz glass pump bottle. I would normally transfer to a dispenser I have but I found this bottle is attractive in a minimalist way and looks simple and elegant in my bathroom as is. Kudos to Youth to the People for their vegan formulas and cruelty free commitment. I like that they are created in California, always a hotspot for innovate and bougie beauty US products. My hands serve me well so they deserve this treat. Highly recommend!

Great brand and great product! Doesn’t smell the best, but doesn’t smell bad… the brand is phenomenal though, so I definitely recommend!

I’m already a fan of Youth to the People’s skincare products as well as their commitment to operating a cruelty-free business. (All their products vegan as well, if that is important to you!)
That being said, while I am careful what products I use on my acne-prone face and tend to use higher-end luxury types of skincare products, I’ve never really considered using luxury hand wash, outside of the fancy-smelling kinds which come in aesthetic packaging that you can buy on discount at department stores.
Because of my personal lack of a need for kale and green tea to be incorporated into hand wash (and my reluctance to pay $2.98 for a *single ounce* of hand soap!) I had to reduce this review to four stars.
As for the soap itself, it’s lovely! I’m sure this comment will raise some eyebrows, but this stuff smells exactly like my husband’s natural musk — kind of peppery and woody, if that makes sense. It’s aromatic but not at all in an abrasive way — the way many colognes or deodorants can overwhelm the senses. It does have a subtle green note as well. After washing, my hands feel clean and look cared for. Don’t expect it to provide the same effect as using hand lotion, but it’s definitely a gentle, non-stripping formula. The lingering skin scent has fully dissipated from my hands an hour or two after washing.
The packaging is quite aesthetic if you’re into the minimalist thing. This would make a thoughtful gift but it’s not something I would purchase again for myself, at least not at this price point. I’d personally rather save my money and splurge on some of their delightful skincare products!

The packaging was top teer and the weight and heaviness to the bottle makes it look very high quality and luxury. The smell however is way too strong and lingers on the hands for a long time. I did not enjoy the smell but it could just be my preference. It isn’t as moisturizing as I thought but overall, decent quality soap.

This product is amazing I like the container it came in and smells great

So I usually get BBW hand soap… Some of the sense are a little overpowering.. this one not only has a beautiful pump, but smells so nice and I guess Woodsey if that makes sense. not only do I love it, but so do all the boys in my house! (also does not dry out my skin as I feel like I’m constantly washing my hands through the day ) Definitely worth a try and love how it’s a vegan product! You won’t be disappointed!

Such a nice moment in my day to elevate the senses with this handwash from Youth to the People. This product has a refreshing green (and very gender neutral) scent for an aromatherapy experience every time I wash my hands! After a using this product every day for a week I definitely prefer the YTTP brand over my regular hand wash because it moisturizes my already dry skin without any irritation all day….no matter how many times I use it.
This hand wash cleans my hands superbly and is formulated with superfoods and hyaluronate to help fight signs of aging and keep the delicate skin on the back of my hands feeling youthful and looking hydrated. This product comes in a very generous 13 fl oz bottle (heavy) with an enclosed pump dispenser for easy use. I also appreciate the beige and black bottle color palette as it goes with any style of home decor.

This is some bougie hand wash, from the scent to the feeling of washing your hands. The scent is mildly strong, a lot of cedarwood with the other hints of pepper and “fresh greens”. The scent will stick around for a while and has a good mix between fragrance and natural smelling.
I always have very mixed skin my hands are usually on the dryer side but can get oily fast depending on the season. This is great for dry hands and not even adding any oil, it’s just all natural and works great at naturally cleansing them which I prefer over lotion or hand washes that add too much oil. My hands feel fresh and CLEAN after using and I can’t describe going from my usual one to this because I was like whoah, that explains the value, and it’s so much worth it here.

Ingredients are all high quality, filled with antioxidants and the superfood extracts which I’m confident helps my hands.
The container is a solid stone material, you can 100% reuse this, doesn’t look like they have any refills though. The pump gets just enough soap out, half a pump is what I use and it lathers in nicely to my hands.

It seems to last a good while, I’ve had it for 2 weeks and still more than half left. You don’t need a lot at all and in return it lasts longer. Definitely one of the higher quality hand soaps I’ve used and I can’t imagine me raving on a hand soap but this is the one to do so on! Just hope they have refills for this!
