Moisturizers do nothing for wrinkle removing. You have to exfoliate to have smooth, wrinkle free skin. If you have a tattoo, exfoliating will stop you from having to brighten it up again, since it is dead skin cells that dull and erase a tattoo. I love this stuff. I works, doesn’t have a smell that offends and lathers up really well. It also keeps my skin so that I can keep an eye on skin cancer growths or changes. I use it on my face and body and have been using it since it first came out (mid nineties). It works.

made my skin SO soft & feel like new!
be careful not to overexfoliate though as it does tingle/burn/leave dry patches if you do so . and make sure to MOISTURIZE!!

I cannot stress to any of you contemplating purchasing this to JUST BUY IT! I know the price is pretty steep in comparison to other OTC products like Clean & Clear or Neutrogena. I have been living in Japan for 9 months, and I paid insane amount of money having my sister sending me every product on the market because my entire body began to break out all over the place – back, chest, arms, neck. I tried EVERYTHING and nothing was working. I began to research products and I was about to purchase the Murad line until I read a review on the Murad and someone mentioned Glytone products. I have never heard of Glytone before, and the cost really scared me off because I could not afford to waste more money, plus an additional $25 just to ship it overseas. I was desperate and it paid off! It literally cleared up my acne in 3 days! I used this product along with Glytone’s Acne Back Spray. However, I do not recommend only using the back spray. You have to use it with the body wash for it to be effective. I am on my second bottle of this body wash and I will never stray away from it. I swear buy this stuff!

I am of ethnic skin and it has helped wonder with lightening my dark spots as well. The body wash did not dry out my skin at all although I always use a moisturizer. Just be sure you are using something that is oil-free. I am also using the acne treatment kit for my face.

I love all of their products.

My skin is severely dry. Thus product is excellent for the winter dryness. Takes away the flacky skin

Fantastic product for different types of problematic skin (acne, KP, etc.). Felt obliged to write this review.

    Love this easy peasy exfoliation

  7. littlepilly

I like this product, it lightens marks and assists with evening skintone.

I wish it came in a bigger bottle.

Very effective exfoliator. I use it on back and arms (I struggle with moderate body acne; my skins is quite oily and thick). It makes the skin super smooth and all the spots and blemishes just disappear after few weeks. Magic! I’ve been buying this product for some time now and probably will continue buying it (unless I will find a cheaper alternative).

TIP: Use with caution because it’s quite aggressive. If you use it too often it will irritate your skin.

Didn’t do the job as expected
    So pricey

I have used this for years and then my dermatologist no longer carried it. I found it on Amazon and it is about the same price as I paid for it at my dermtologists’ office. The reviews stating it doesn’t work- please use the pouf with it. I get in the shower wet my pouf/scrunchy put it on my pouf and then put it on my body making sure that I let it sit out of the stream of the water. The bubbling action of the product lets you know it is working. Be very careful because it does take off dead skin. I would not recommend it for daily use. I use it about 2x a week. I had bumpy skin on my chest and it smoothed it out.

I does not take stretch marks away but it does retexturize the skin if you use the product regularly. Use lotion after using this acid wash. I use a lotion when I get out of the shower. Overall it does remove dead skin the skin on my face looks smoother and “shiny” when I get out of the shower. I immediately put lotion on my face. Yes, I know it isn’t meant for the face but instead for the body. But I put it on my face. I has reduced the darkness of a sun spot on my face. The spot is still there- just less visible. Remember this is an acid wash- you need to put lotion on after you use it.

I do recommend this product. I have sensitive skin and a skin condition and I do not have a negative reaction to this acid wash. My dermatologist did recommend this for my skin condition.

The items needed to go with this product: a pouf and your favorite lotion afterwards.

Like many other reviewers, my reasoning for purchasing this product is because I have keratosis pilaris on my arms. I tend to just live with it most of the time, but if I have a special occasion coming up then I will use this (and the lotion) religiously. I was gearing up for my wedding, so of course I used this! It works well as long as you use it regularly, but be careful! It is not for those with sensitive skin and I have burned myself with this stuff on more than one occasion. It works well for acne also, so I would occasionally use it on my chest or back, but that skin is significantly more sensitive than my arms so I would tend to burn myself if I used too much/too often.

As long as you’re careful, this stuff will work wonders. KP is a pain in the behind, but Glytone definitely helps manage it.

  12. TXgungirl

Wow! Does this stuff WORK! If you have KP keratosis pillaris, aka rough bumpy skin (yep that’s the true name of this problem), this will certainly help with that problem! It is actually MADE for KP according to the box. It REALLY exfoliates like crazy! A LOT of folks say that it leaves their skin super dry. Well, this is true BUT it’s kind of the point! The entire issue with KP is that dry skin covers over your hair follicles in places and prevents the hair from rising above the skin’s surface which is why you get the bumps. The hair is trying like crazy to get out. You can only get away with washing so much dry skin away before you reach the point where the skin is still attached (and you’ll bleed if you pick at it or try to peel it away). So, Glytone exposes new layers of skin that is still very dry. Just use your lotion and you’ll be fine. I know the Glytone lotion isn’t the best smelling stuff in the world but it avoids all the “crud” (for lack of a better word) such as scent and anything else that can contribute to blocking hair follicles.

My face breaks out easily, and I have been using this product for about 3 years now. I use it primarily on my face (even though it says body wash) and on my chest and shoulders if I need to. Whenever I am using this consistently, I can really see a difference with my acne. This is not a moisturizer, so it will dry your face put. That is the point of it. Make sure you use a great moisturizer after using this product to help from having skin. I never really notice a scent. It is pretty mild. If you are thinking about getting this, do it! You will be getting the a great value for the money.
