I LOVEEEEEEEEEE this serum! This is literally liquid gold in a bottle! Its very lightweight on the skin and not greasy like other serums. It doesnt leave an oily residue on my fingers either. My husband says he notices my blemish marks getting lighter. Will buy again!

I take CoQ10 orally I didn’t know it comes in a serum, even better! This bottle comes in a nice glass bottle to keep the serum ingredients fresh longer. I love the simple packaging from Small Batch Serum. This serum is clean, fragrance free, hypoallergenic and most importantly great for sensitive skin. Fortunately, I’ve yet to get any reaction and this is a plus. The consistency is not watery, but more gel like. This is also beneficial before putting make up.
I layer this with Niacinamide before putting my lotion. CoQ10 is very important in preventing free radical from the surrounding environment. It prevent early aging signs by defending skin against oxidative stress, encourage skin repair, boost collagen, and keep cells active. So far so good, I feel my skin hydrating, plump, and light.

i like this face serum it is very easy to use and it last me a very long time for months i use a little at a time it smells really good to it makes my skin feel soft and smooth it doesn’t break me out at all its worth the money its good for all skin types and it helps with anti aging and it gets all of the wrinkles gone to make you look young i definitely recommend this product .

I learned that coq10 is great for relieving and delaying fine lines and wrinkles. This product works wonders on my elderly skin. I look at least 10 years younger. However, the initial subscribe and save price was deceiving – the second time it came up it’s $10 more. A bit pricey for 1.12 fl oz. Will be looking for something else.
My Paradigm –
This serum feels a little thicker than most, which is probably why it seems to take a little longer to absorb. At first it feels tacky, but after a few minutes that goes away. It does fine under makeup and is unscented, so as long as I have time to layer, I don’t have any issues with it. I’m using it preventatively since I’m not struggling with wrinkles yet but I do like that it is gentle and doesn’t react with my other products.

And it makes the skin on my fingers feel odd after putting it on my face.
Actually I don’t care for how it makes the skin of my face feel either.

* Overall Impression:
-It’s a nice, gentle, well formulated, fragrance-free serum that is gentle and works well but it isn’t quite a budget friendly choice due to the smaller size.
-Note that it does have a faint natural scent to it from the ingredients.
* Pros-what I liked and what worked well:
-Size: 1.12 oz (30ml)
-Formula: lightweight slightly milky gel like serum, light moisture level. For oily to normal skin, those with dry skin will likely need more moisture layered over this as it’s quite light.
-Application: Spreads easily on the skin and sinks in quickly. It does leave a touch of stickiness on the skin, so it may be better used at bedtime vs under makeup.
-Gentleness: I didn’t have any irritation, redness, stinging or itching during use. However I did notice a touch of a tightening sensation on the skin, which can be a sign of irritation or sensitivity, but no overall irritation. Overall I would consider it and the formula sensitive skin friendly.
-No common allergens or gluten listed in the ingredients.
-Standout ingredients: licorice root, Q10, jojoba
-Clear glass bottle with a press down pump style dispenser with a clear plastic lid over the pump. This protects the formula from both air and bacteria degradation. The pump doesn’t over dispense or waste product.
-A little goes a long way, 1 pump is enough to use on your entire face.
-Cruelty free.
-Fragrance free. No perfumes, essential or fragrant oils. However it does have a very mild, faint floral scent from the ingredients. It should be safe for most people unless you are extremely sensitive to scents.
-Dye free.
-No irritating ingredients such as alcohols or essential oils.
-Full ingredient listing printed on the outer carton.
* Cons-what I didn’t like and what didn’t work well:
-Ingredients are not printed on the bottle itself, but only on the outer carton. I had to trim the outer carton and save the ingredient listing and use a hair elastic to attach it to the bottle to save the ingredients. It would have been a lot better had they printed the ingredients on the bottle itself.
-The bottle is clear and see through. A non see through, opaque bottle would have been better as it would have protected the ingredients and formulation from light degradation.
-While the formula is excellent and it’s a good product, the cost per ounce is a bit on the pricey side. It’s good, but not a budget friendly choice due to the smaller size and cost per ounce.
* Tips & Thoughts:
-If you’re looking for a licorice extract product that’s more budget friendly and also gentle, while it’s not a dupe of this overall, I have another suggestion. I’d suggest Procare Rosacare all in one treatment. It’s a good licorice extract product. But it does not have the other ingredients this has and is tinted green (the Rosacare) vs clear like this one.
-This would work well in skincare layering over a liquid and under a heavier cream or lotion as a serum layer.
-Note that you may need to press down on the pump a few times to get it started initially and prime it before initial use.
