It is beef tallow. It looks like tallow. It feels like tallow. The jar is fairly small.
It has no odor. That is definitely something in its favor.
I don’t like the gritty texture or the way it feels on my face. I did not use more than a small dab, and it covered my face and neck. The sticky gritty feeling was unpleasant for me and did not absorb into my skin. The result it that I felt that my skin was greasy and slightly gravelly for a long while afterwards. Although I have aging skin, I felt this left my it feeling greasy, which is not what I wanted.
I can see where people would find this a great and natural product if they have super dry skin but don’t want a lot of additives. I also appreciate that the packaging was mindful of sustainability. For those reasons I gave it a 3 rather than lower because I don’t like this product for myself.

This Angelycia Beef Tallow face moisturizer only two ingredients and is very thick. It’s definitely a balm and very solid, a little bit goes a long way. The balm has a slightly greasy feel to it on the skin and it does make my skin feel softer. I use it more for hands and elbows than for my face because it feels a little too heavy on my face. I like that it is scentless and it’s a small size if I wanted to take it with me. Overall, I’ll use this up since it does work well for my hands and elbows.

I took this on a recent trip to dry desert areas of the US and used it on top of my regular lotion. It is very moisturing and worked great to keep skin soft even in the dry wind conditions. It did get a bit soft in the heat, and the jar started leaking slightly so I used plastic wrap to secure the jar before putting on the lid. Even in its melted form it was very nice to use. Highly recommend

I have heard a lot about tallow balm. It’s said to help with all kinds of skin conditions like eczema and rashes. I am mainly using it for dry skin. I have been using it for about 3 days on my feet and elbows and although it is not magical, my feet don’t look dry like they do 10 minutes after applying a regular lotion. It has absolutely no scent and it is thick but once you warm it up between your fingers it softens up. Time will tell if this proves to be effective but I’m happy with it so far.

In the desert your skin can take a beating, especially in summer, and especially your face. This stuff is great for keeping moisture in your skin where it belongs. Slightly greasy and doesn’t absorb as quickly as some, but it seems to work better than some, too. Very lightly scented. Also very thick, a little goes a long way.

I was a little hesitant to try this but reading the benefits and seeing it is literally only two ingredients I was curious. I have dry skin in all the common areas, crevices of fingers, knees, elbows and am always looking for the best lotions and creams out there. A little goes a long way as it has a (let’s be honest) lard or Crisco consistency but is smooth and buttery. It does go on greasy but absorbs into the skin after awhile. I am hesitant to try it on my face but figure whatever is remaining on my hands after skin application won’t hurt. It does not smell at all!! I am hopeful it clears up the redness on my face. I just worry my face will appear “greasy”.

I ordered this beef tallow cream for general moisturizer use and my wife wanted to try it on her hands which can get pretty dry throughout the day.
There’s little to no scent when first sniffing it in the jar and not much scent after applying it either. If you’re like me and don’t like heavily perfumed products, this is a good option. I got maybe a very faint odor after rubbing the product onto the back of my hand and smelling it – hard to tell. I did however want french fries after using the product but it was probably just because I was thinking about beef tallow and food.
The initial feel of the product was a bit slick when applying it to the skin but after 30 minutes I checked again and it had mostly all absorbed into my skin. It spreads very easily as well and you won’t need a lot of product for each application of it.
Seemed to be good, I haven’t used it consistently so I’m not sure if it improves the feel of your skin over time or not but it felt good when I did use it.
