I really loved the unicorn as it looked so natural and all sticky and messy like regular lipstick so thought I would try the Rose. Well Rose didn’t change color on my lips looked the same. However I think this may work on someone with different colored lips than mine maybe lighter colored lips? Picture shown is after applied and looks the same as my natural. But I do recommend these for a person that doesn’t like lipstick really but wants to change the color of their lips a little but look natural still. The unicorn from my experience did make my lips a little darker pink, I kind of already have pink lips but like them to “pop” just a little more without being too dark or bright.

This is the first winky Lux product I’ve purchased. The verdict is still out on this product. I’m going to eventually order another one to compare. I was hoping this would be more “glittery” and add more sparkle but it’s really just a little shimmer and quickly overtaken by pink lips. The tube and balm itself are pretty. It went on smoothly and my lips didn’t dry out. I don’t like how pink my lips got though. It was an obnoxious pink that was “unnatural” looking on me. I would be happier if this had more of a glitter look and didn’t change your lips to a different color. It’s a bit overpriced in my opinion. I think 8.00-10.00 max for a lip balm is plenty. So, if you buying it on sale then give it a go but when I buy again I’ll be looking for a sale.

I am not at all impressed with this lip balm. I got the Aurora balm. The deescription says that it’s iridescent, it has a subtle shimmer,, and it hydrates and plumps lips. Maybe someone else had that experience, but not me. I see no iridescence or shimmer on my lips. I do like that there’s no scent (that I can tell) and that it’s cruelty free, which is why I bought this particular one. But– there’s just nothing to it. And I have never before heard of “artificial beeswax”. The gloss went on smoothly and was clear. As I said, no detectable shimmer. It had a waxy feel on my lips. This gloss did not last long on my lips, even though I didn’t eat, drink, or lick my lips when I had it on. Overall, I rate this (aside from being cruety-free) not really any better than any other lip gloss available in stores for a lot less money

I usually get cheap lipsticks/balms, but wanted to try something new. Very moisturizing and I love the pink color that shows up, I add regular lip balm over it to mute it down if it’s to bright for the look I’m going for. Light sweet scent is lovely, no taste. Easily my new favorite lip balm! For sure going to keep on ordering! Pricey but worth it.

Initially, it looked gimmicky to me, like something that a young girl would like, glittery and all, but I was intrigued enough about the Ph reaction to try it, and the product proofed me wrong! First, it just looks full of glitter, but when it goes onto your lips, all it has is a pleasant light reflecting shimmer that gives the illusion of fuller lips. I was somewhat apprehensive about the kind of pink it would turn into on my lips. The product creates a very customized, one of a kind color according to your body chemistry. Luckily, it was not a Barbie or bubblegum pink, but for me like a beautiful rose with some mauve undertones. This acts like a moisturizing lip balm, not a lipstick, stain or lip oil. Lipstick creates a layer of color on top of your lips. When you put on lipstick, well, you look like you put on lipstick. Lip stains sink into your lips, but are usually drying and too darkly pigmented. Oils are sticky and messy. Back to lip balms. This one is special because you get a chemical reaction, not something that sits on top or sinks in, but something that actually turns your lips a rose or pink color as if you have been born with it. If you like a natural look like me where less is more and make-up is only used sparingly to enhance natural beauty, then this product is for you! As to color transfer, it is simple, give this product about 20 minutes to sink in, and it no longer transfers. Try putting on a lip balm. Initially, it sits on top of your lips until it is absorbed by your skin. Once you feel like the product has sunk in, it no longer transfers the color. Folks are right though about having to re-apply it periodically. The chemical reaction will have to be renewed every so often. I am sold on this. At least for my every-day look, I will no longer grab my lipsticks.
