I’ve used Safeguard bar soap since 1969. Having read about it’s anti-bacterial quality, I started using this soap while participating in high school football. Since that time, Safeguard is the only soap I’ve used in the shower.
When I married my wife 24 years ago, she was an “anything-on-sale” soap user. After I introduced her to my soap she started using it too, but found it dried her skin out some. That never mattered to me; the drier the better for my skin. She found Safeguard with Aloe and in doing so, she found her soap. Same great quality, but with a bit softer skin.
Okay, I have to admit, I occasionally use her bar when I’m getting rough, dry skin from working in the shop.

Before buying retail I first bought these soap bars in April 2020 (for $32 per order) and they have worked well to this day! Although I switched to scentless bars about two years ago I still occasionally use these aloe bars whenever I find them stored away.
Personal pros:
-Excellent at eliminating body odor.
-No soap residue due to not having talc.
-Pleasant-smelling but not overbearingly so.
-The bars arrived early and in great condition.
-Holds up well against chipping, scratching and breaking off.
-Theoretically antibacterial and seems to work best if left on for a minute or two before rinsing.
Personal cons:
-Might work a bit too well. If I heavily lather even once daily it feels as though my skin starts coming off after a few days, thus I use far less at a time and take modified naval showers to conserve both soap and water.
I recommend these soap bars to anyone who is either looking to switch from soap with talc or liquid soap, likes the smell of aloe, and/or wants a strong soap at a decent price. For a great introduction to effective bar soaps, the “Safeguard Deodorant Bar Soap, White With Touch of Aloe, 8 Bars Each (Pack of 6)” gets a solid 4/5 stars!

Safeguard soap is a time tested product. I’ve been using the basic bar for hand washing especially during flu seasons. This variety of Safeguard had a light, pleasant and clean aroma and does NOT dry out our skin.

That is the one old good Safeguard, that can make your hands clear out of everything, like engine oil, sticky dirt etc.
Interesting, how it’s not possible to buy it anywhere in Wallmart or Superstore and I had to buy here a huge box of it. But it does worth it.
