I’ve used Lever 2000 Aloe and Cucumber scent for years. This is NOT the same soap. It doesn’t resemble the original in any way. Lever 2000 was known for having a very mild, but pleasant scent, but this new version has a very strong, pungent and unpleasant chemical odor. I used Lever 2000 because I need a mild soap for allergies. Within ten seconds, I determined that I cannot use this new version. The smell is just gross and stays with you. I would have given a zero rating if I could have.
My most recent order of this item (06/2024) came as the “new” version of the product. Packaging pretends to be the same as always, but it’s NOT. I noticed that previous shipments of the “good” soap weighed 4oz per bar and were made in Mexico. This shipment was made in Indonesia and weighs 3.75 oz per bar. I’ve seen some reviews that said the new bars are 3.15 or 3.25 ounces, but they are, in fact, 3.75 ounces, according to the packaging. I think the key is to see if the box displays 3.75 oz and “Made in Indonesia” as the way to know if it’s the new bad version.
If you have always used Level 2000 and are just looking for more of the same, my advice is to find a new brand you can use. Not what I want to do either, but here we are. Thanks, Unilever.

I’ve been using this soap for many years and it’s top notch. Two things to point out regarding my recent purchase- the soap is now packaged in a box just like it used to be and they’ve reduced the size of the bar from four (4) ounces to three point seventy-five (3.75) ounces. Also, it’s now made in Indonesia instead of Mexico so once I start using this batch I’m hoping the quality remains the same, if not for the size change.
