This is my first time using menthol crystals and melted down very easily. They were so neat looking that I took one into my 13 year old so he could check them out. I made one batch of shower steamers and I really liked it then I added a little bit more menthol on my second batch and those are great. Next I will make a cold process soap infused with mint adding a little bit of menthol crystals maybe 1%, I still have to do the research on that. I definitely recommend these crystals.

It feels very sad that I only found this brand on Amazon, that can actually be ingested (used in toothpaste). Though I have no intention of making toothpaste., the mere thought that you inhale the fumes from this product… one should ONLY purchase menthol that states it can be ingested. I just hope Amazon demands tests results or hold some kind of accountability, so that product cannot be sold through them that could physically harm people.
Assuming that this product is not toxic, I can share that the menthol is extremely strong, and you only need a tiny bit to place in your diffuser or shower. Just that little bit of contact on my hands makes my cats scrunch their face and run away from my hand due to the strength of the scent they smell.
