Doctor Babor Refine RX Detox Lipo Cleanser gave my skin a deep clean without drying it out. The cleansing balm is a light milky color and a thinner texture than face washes I have previously used. I applied it to my dry skin and as I rubbed the product I noticed a slight heating feeling began. The milky color looked clear initially on my skin but as I continued to rub it with wet fingertips, it took on a milky appearance once more. The cleanser has a faint herbal scent to me. I was surprised to find that there was no lather or bubbles that popped up which caught me off guard. The cleanser felt very gentle on my skin even though I knew it was doing a deep clean of my pores. It rinsed off easily and did not leave any residue on my skin. I noticed after using the product for several weeks my skin looked refreshed, dewy, and soft to the touch. I did not experience any skin irritations, dryness, or redness when using this product. The cleanser is Made in Germany. I was really impressed with how good my skin looked after making it part of my daily beauty routine.

I have oily, acne-prone skin that gets red really easily. Having a cleanser that doesn’t break me out, that’s compatible with my problem skin is very important to me. I’ve been using the DOCTOR BABOR Refine RX Detox Lipo Cleanser for a few weeks now and I think it’s working very well for my skin. This cleanser doesn’t foam up like most cleansers. It reminds me of Philosophy’s Purity Made Simple cleaner. It goes on like a gel and gentle washes away oil, dirt and makeup. I haven’t noticed any breakouts or redness but my skin is still as oily. It’s a very expensive cleanser so I’ll stick to Purity Made Simple because I think they work the same, at least for me.

It doesn’t foam as much as I would like but it doesn’t affect it in terms of cleansing. A small amount would be sufficient as you really don’t need a lot for whole face coverage. The cleanser is not too concentrated and has properties that would warm up from continuous massage. The pores will slowly open up and you can really get the deeper debris out from your skin.
The after feel is also not extremely dry, but leaves your skin feeling clean and exposed. I strongly recommend using some product after cleaning so that you really replenish and moisturize thoroughly due to the deep clean.

Expensive cleaner for sure. My face felt clean though.
It has very light scent that’s almost undetectable. It’s a clearish type of cleanser and made my face shiny, while rubbing it on as directed.. They’d suggest to rub it to make it murky creamy to get the best effects from it. I tried, but not sure I got the results fully- but I was distracted by my little one trying to grab the product and run with it lol.. I do not feel any warmth when using this so again I’ll have to circle back around to update this more.
so far I’m still waiting to see how great this is. For now it gets 5*. It came sealed with cellophane wrapping and I was VERY HAPPY since this is really expensive and I dislike companies that lack tamper resistant packaging.
I will say the instructions do seem to contain multiple products instructions so make sure you’re reading the right one as I did read it wrong initially waking up and using it.

This cleanser is great! It has a thinner consistency. It’s easy to use and works nicely. I have super sensitive skin, and this did not cause any irritation or breakouts. I have never experienced any warming, but it does leave my skin feeling cleansed and not stripped of moisture. Leaves my skin looking Dewy, with a nice glow. I absolutely would recommend!
Buttercup –
A resounding ‘meh’ from me.
I’ve tried this cleanser several times now, and while I’ve noticed the slight warm sensation in my cheeks I’ve also noticed an unpleasant stinging sensation around my jawline if I use it within 12 hours or so of shaving. I’m not sure what it is, but there’s clearly something in this cleanser that irritates my skin.
Other than that, I can’t say I found the experience of using the cleanser all that much fun. I like a cleanser that lathers at least a little. I know it’s meaningless, but it feels as if it’s doing more if it works up into a nice lather, and this cleanser doesn’t at all. Not particularly satisfying.
On the plus side, the cleanser has a mild fragrance I found quite nice, and after use my skin definitely feels properly cleansed. If it weren’t for the stinging I’d probably quite like it.

Like the warming sensation on application. Great product. Skin does not feel overdried.
