My skin went through hell last year. It was painful, embarrassing, and left me with tons of hyperpigmentation that wasn’t there before. My skin texture also suffered a bunch. I tried an expensive laser treatment that only made things worse, which left me even more depressed about my skin situation. At this point, I figured I didn’t have anything to lose by trying the “slow and steady” approach. I turned to this hoping it would address the hyperpigmentation problems. This wasn’t the only product I started with – I also added a micellar water to help cleanse my skin beforehand, daily extra strength peel pads by another brand, and a liquid to help clear my pores from another. Let’s just say I didn’t have high hopes going in, especially after shelling out big bucks for someone to shoot lasers at my face, but I figured I had nothing to lose. I think I maybe tried another product or two, but I’ve already forgotten what they are because I quickly determined which ones were working for me. I could tell pretty quickly that this was working for me. I actually made a point to take “before” pictures so that I could take “after” ones so I would be able to tell for myself if anything was working. The pics I’ve added here are almost exactly one month apart, are not edited except to zoom in and black out portions of my face, and are taken in the same position in the same room that only has one light source so the lighting and everything is as close to the the same as I could get it. I was happily shocked after I started seeing actual results! I was so excited that I could count myself among the people who had good experiences with this product! I used this almost every night of the week, and used it as the final step in my skincare routine.

While I still have a ways to go with my skin, I’m fine with that. I haven’t had any cystic acne since I started this new skincare journey. My skin looks almost normal again. The spots of hyperpigmentation are definitely fading. My skin texture is improving. After I was feeling like this had done everything it could for me, I switched back to two RX creams through a D2C subscription service: one with tretinoin/azelaic acid/niacinimide/tranexamic acid, and the other with hydroquinone/kojic acid/hydrocortisone/azelaic acid. The only thing that I know can’t be helped by topicals is the issue of skin laxity that I think came from the laser treatment (or at least it was made much worse by it), so I would like to try a series of professional microneedling to address that soon.
Anyway, all in all, I think this did exactly what I hoped it would do, and it was worth the investment for me. It’s not cheap, so that alone makes it not for everyone, but if you have similar issues I was having, and you manage your expectations appropriately, *and* are able to afford this, I say don’t hesitate. My only gripe with it is that it is a little sticky, and sometimes I feel like it’s hard to get the past but out of the bottle. While I do love this product and want to cycle it back into my skincare regimen, the price has me looking for alternatives since there is a lot of competition in the marketplace. I’ll edit this in the future if I end up circling back here after an unsuccessful search. However, I personally do not regret starting with this product (and the others I mentioned) in order to get my skin to a good place again. I’m thankful for this product, and it’s good to know it’s there if I should ever need to return to it, though I hope I won’t! Oh – and whether you try this or not, **make sure you use sunscreen every day**!!! That might be one of the single best things you can do for your skin. Whatever you try, good luck! I hope you find what works for your skin!

The Murad serum completely removed a black spot from the border of my eye lid- much too close the eye to use RF or any other treatment. The other reviews that complain about this product are unfounded in my opinion. The serum HAS to be sticky so it stays in the exact point of application. If used in small quantities there is no substantive odor whatsoever. The product when used as directed will actually “burn through” the skin to vanquish the dark spot. There may be some stinging involved- but hey; this is exactly what the product is supposed to do. It took 4-5 days to completely remove the spot- which was about 3 mm in diameter. The product forms like a clear coating over the point of application much like a liquid bandage does. I advise not tearing off this protective coating too soon otherwise some skin may come along with it. I actually did this, and there was a little bleeding- kind of like skinning your knee. However, the black spot was completely gone and the new skin underneath was my natural skin color. There was no scarring or anything- just the black spot being gone. I have thin sensitive skin, so the olive skin types or darker skin types, being thicker and tougher, may require more time for the process to complete. That said, don’t give up on it; it really will work. I am not sure if the product works on birth marks. My spot just emerged out of seemingly nowhere, and was present for about 4 months until I blasted it with Murad!. Last note, this product is not really for wide applications over the face or elsewhere- it is literally to completely remove spots on and individual basis. If you have a wide area problem with spots all around, I would not recommend this product as that use is not really consistent with intended use. I would definitely recommend this product. What’s 85 bucks to literally erase a black spot from your precious face?

It didn’t work, was terrible under makeup, and gave me pimples. Plus, it was super expensive. Don’t waste your money. Update: seller did give me my money back after reading this review, so it’s good to know you can try it without having to worry.

    Clearer Bottle

I am very disappointed with the appearance of the bottle it disgusied the amount, making one unsatisfied .

  5. Anche in precedenza avevo ordinato prodotti Murad su Amazon, e anche questa volta non sono rimasta delusa. Ortima esperienza.

    Viel Geld, keine Wirkung

  6. Sandra Lucia Reynaga

    Come sempre, sono rimasta soddisfatta

  7. anesha

This product actually works. You must be patient because it takes a few weeks. Use twice a day if it does not irritate your skin. Leave one several minutes before you add moisturizer. It will rove dark spots from
    sun or aging. Be patient.

sto usando da tanto però non vedo nessuna differenza

  9. alrightalrightalright

The serum reduces the dark spots that come with sunshine. Face and hands recovery.

  10. Krümelmonster

Unfortunately, it didn’t work at all for me.

  11. reggiecat1

Love the way it works quickly on my skin. Fast results. The only drawback is if I stop using it my skin goes back to how it was with the dark spots. The product only works when you use it. Which means you have to continue spending money to purchase item. It doesn’t take away the spots permanently.

  12. Vincent C.

After 1 week I notice my sunspots lightening and a more even skin tone. Light scent not overwhelming.

  13. EvaM

No me gusto, ya que no contiene hidroquinona para las manchas
