So I am totally pleased by the price and size of this Shea butter. It was spot on for weight and no packaging issues. It’s a good consistent color. However, it smells almost burnt and is much harder that the Shea butter I’ve bought in the past. Not sure why?

My husband makes body butter. He had been having our daughter purchase from Amazon using her prime membership, because he is too cheap to have his own membership…well she forgot to make a purchase for him and he needed it right away for one of his customers so I was going to make the purchase for him. His normal supplier had went up on the price, why he never looked at other suppliers on Amazon is beyond me. So I saw this suppliers price not only was it cheaper but the quantity was more so I made the purchase for him. He was very pleased with the product it was just as good a quality as the other supplier he was truly happy.

I’ve bought some Shea butter from different vendors on Amazon and most of them looked mixed with something but this one is actually pure Shea butter. It’s super creamy and makes amazing whipped cream lotions. Glad made the switch

I use Shea butter in my homemade Shea butter mix that i sell . I thought it would be cost effective to buy it in bulk instead of going to the african store buying a jar everytime i ran out . I specifically wanted “white” Shea butter and that’s exactly what i received . It arrived in a timely fashion , package to perfection. At first i thought it was going to arrive hard and yellow (some of the reviews stated) but it didn’t . When I opened the box and felt the Shea butter it was extremely soft , I’ve kept it in my kitchen since I received it and it’s still soft . Everytime i have to make an order for a customer i literally use my ice scream scoop to scoop a chunk of butter . I will definitely purchase again !

This is raw shea butter, meaning that it will smell earthy and possibly have a bit of discoloration and debris. What you get at the grocery syoreehas been refined, melted, filtered, and chemicals added to “improve” color and smell…which also diminishes some of the health benefits. For diy recipes at home, this is perfect. Packinging is a bit messy (plastic weap inside a cardboard box), but it’s a huge chunk of butter so i can’t think of a better way to package it (maybe in a plastic box?).

I am in love with this shea butter. I bought a whole 10lb block for personal use since this stuff seems to never go off. I use it in my diy hair mixes and body mixes for me, my husband, and my toddler.
This is my first time buying bulk shea butter and my second time buying shea butter. The one I that I got before was super hard, and I had to cut it with a knife and melt it down to use. It took me a couple months to use it up just because I procrastinated on making the mixes. It was only 8 oz because I wanted to see if I liked shea butter and I do so when it was finished I bought more; this time in bulk from a different supplier.
This shea butter is soooo soft and melts down as you rub it. My research tells me that the soft shea butter is much fresher than the hard one, but I could be wrong. I made a mix with this one and it worked similarly to the hard one but melted into our hair and skin a little more quickly. The smell is very pleasant. It has a light nutty smell. I leave it in my closet, and whenever I go in there, it smells nutty and sweet. All shea butter will kind of perform similarly; but what I absolutely love about this shea butter is that because it is soft, I can kind of rub a piece off and use it as is. If this was my first experience with shea butter, I would have switched over to all natural body and hair products a long time ago.
Lastly, I overestimated just how big 10 lbs is. It’s really not that big; though it will last many many months for my family of 3. (Pictures have a size comparison against a 16.9 oz water bottle). Nonetheless, I am very happy with my purchase. I will for sure be buying from this brand again since they sell fresh high quality shea butter.

This is high quality, unrefined Shea butter. It has not been processed in any way other than being removed from the Shea nut. A light straining may be required depending on what kind of product you will be incorporating the Shea butter into. I have been using Unrefined Shea Butter in my products since 2012 and this is a fantastic, pure product. This is my new go-to vendor for Shea butter! Thanks for keeping this product as natural as possible!!
