  1. BuyerOfGoods

I love Dr. Jart. I’ve tried their Cicapair Tiger Grass color-correcting treatment, and their ceramidin skin barrier cream.

The cicapair line is supposed to help with sensitive skin, help redness, and skin barrier care. The Intensive Soothing Repair Cream contains Cica Complex and Allantoin, which is supposed to soothe and repair your skin.

I have normal to combination skin. I really do like how soothing and hydrating the cream is. It absorbs well, and doesn’t really irritate my skin. While I do like the product, I wouldn’t say it’s an absolute love. I feel that it does what it says it does, but it’s just not my favorite. I felt that the cream didn’t live up to my expectations. I think it’s a solid product, but I feel that it’s not something I’d reach for regularly.

I really wanted to love this. I normally like Dr Jart products but something about this one is really drying me out. I had to stop retinol and go back to my winter moisturizer (in July!) since this thing is making my face flake. It’s a no from me if you have dry skin like I do.

  3. Henry

Overall: Not a miracle cream, but somewhat effective with no side effects.

I used this on my sunburned skin for a few days. It does actually lighten the skin tone a bit. It didn’t completely cover up the red, but it certainly lightened it a few shades.

Other than that I had no ill effects from using this cream. It applies similar to a lotion and blends in quickly. It stays moist for little while though, so don’t expect it to dry right away.

This product has been perfect for targeting smaller probem areas in addition to the normal steps of dermal layering. I like to use this prior to my overall moisturizer but after my serum, ampuole or essence. Combined with different products, I have seen such an improvement in problem areas on my cheeks. It’s super moisturizing and wears well with other products outside of the Dr. Jart line.

This Dr Jart moisturizer is great for me. I use other products that help smooth and keep my pores at bay and face not so red. I enjoyed this even if it did make my face feel dry but for me my face is oily in many parts and this helps to normalize my face and I do laser my face so using this after makes it feel great and gets rid of the redness as well from that. After using this my face feels smooth and fresh and doesn’t look greasy at all anymore. Works very well and I will be purchasing again.

I have mixed feelings about this product, especially given its price of $30 per ounce. I’m also very wary of products that promise instant results, and this moisturizer did not live up to its claims of reducing redness. I have sensitive skin prone to redness from various causes, including rosacea flare-ups, but I saw no improvement (in terms of amount of redness) after using this product. It also didn’t help the redness from other forms of irritation, such as facial acne, slightly damaged skin, or sunburn.

I am also rather confused on exactly what this product is meant for. It mentions it’s safe to use after laser treatment, but does not mention that as a “requirement”; so I assumed anyone can use this, laser treated or not. Based on my lack of results, I assume this was only meant to reduce redness from a laser treatment then. I also do not like how thick this moisturizer is. This is already an expensive product, and since it is so thick it causes you to use more of the product to get an even coat over the face since it does not spread as well as a thinner/lighter moisturizer would.

Personally, I still prefer my Olay facial moisturizer over this Dr.Jart+ moisturizer. Olay’s is less expensive, spreads more easily, and feels more refreshing after use. The Dr.Jart+ moisturizer does seem to last longer though, without the need of reapplying as often. Both moisturizers provide moisture without leaving a greasy feeling, but at vastly different price points. I will continue to try this Dr.Jart+ moisturizer for a longer period and see if there are any further results, but so far its claims of reducing redness does not seem true and it seems no better than cheaper facial moisturizers.

Overall, for my very dry, fair, and sensitive skin, the Dr.Jart+ moisturizer does not offer enough benefits to warrant its high price. I would not recommend it when there are more affordable options available that provide equal or better results.

  7. SG

I love Korean skincare and almost everything I tried from this line works for me. This cream is not an exception. I like that it comes in a tube. The consistency is on the thicker side and it is too heavy ( greasy) for me for the day , especially for t zone. But I mostly use it at night. Quality of the product is great. I like that there is printed expiration date . Barely has any scent.

This Korean beauty item adds another GREAT example of the K-Beauty. It works super fast and great, and I am sure you gotta see your skin gets brighter and softer even only a couple days after using this product. I approved it!
