I like the scent of the mist and it’s very easy to use but sadly it didn’t go on evenly and looked very splotchy with darker dots in some places. Maybe this needs to be used with the mitt but it said to just spritz and go so I’m not sure about it. The express self tanner worked well and applied well without drying down too fast so you can go over a large area and blend out any streaks or excess product. I liked the mitt but it was on the smaller side for me that I had to be more aware of it staying in place and would’ve preferred it had a wrist cuff.

Love how natural my tan was! I put this on in the evening, let it dry and sit over night. Showered in the morning, and had no streaks. Tan lasted a little over a week.

This is a good product, but it doesn’t come with adequate directions so if you’re new to self-tanners (like me) you’re going to need to do a little research. That said, the face mist is really great. It smells fine (good, kind of) and it’s very easy to use. It really, truly works, and doesn’t leave you with streaks or blotches (amazingly). The first time I used it I didn’t really think it would work as well as it did, so I ended up with a clear line on my neck where I stopped spraying, but the second time I used it I just blended the edges in and it looked great and very natural. Rookie mistake. The body tanner works well, too. I am new to self-tanner so have been very conservative with using it, not leaving it on for long, but it provides a noticeable glow without streaks and it also looks natural. It doesn’t smell terrible. I’m pretty impressed.
NB –
The St. Tropez golden getaway kit star product is the self tan express mousse. The mousse applies with a darkened color, so you can see where you have applied your self tanner as you go.
My kit was missing the velvet mitt and if there were included directions that was missing as well. I didn’t deduct any stars because the product works extremely well. The website is very helpful as I thought the spray was just for additional hydration, but the spray does tan as well.
Since there are no directions, this is what I would recommend to do:
Shower, body wash, full body exfoliation, shave, get out of the shower and completely dry off, put on a pair of disposable gloves, I personally like to apply my face first then I start from my feet and work up my whole body, I apply quickly and upward strokes, making sure everything is perfectly blended in, I’m careful around my ankles, elbows and knees and I never apply the mousse directly to these body parts. I use left over on my gloves for those parts. My skin is normal to oily so I don’t need to moisturize before applying the self tanner, but if your skin is dry you should moisturize before applying the mousse.
I kept the mousse on for 2 hours and achieved a nice tan. The amount of time you keep self tanner on is your personal preference.
The self tanner worked well, the face mist is nice for some extra hydration and does tan the face in 4 to 8 hours. I didn’t receive the mitt, I can review it but if I used the mitt I would have used a disposable glove on the other hand. I have had positive experiences with mitts, but a pair of disposable gloves are my go to for self tanning.
Like I said, the express mousse is the star and I will use this product when I need to be a bit more tan!

It is a nice soft tan, however first application even with exfoliating, very streaky! Second application seems to have done the trick.
It states color last 7-10 days! By the third day you could see many spots that had faded.
