Product appears to be the authentic Paula’s Choice treatment serum. This is a professional-grade line of skincare which, in my opinion, is almost always worth the extra cost.

The product itself seems pretty good. It’s the color of a vitamin C treatment, has virtually no scent, and spreads nicely. Be aware that there is only 1 oz. (30 ml.) of treatment in this bottle – made to look like it is so much more than that. A similar sized bottle from Olay contains 1.7 oz (50 ml.) of product. Clearly, Paula’s Choice can make the bottle smaller and use less plastic, or better yet, fill the bottle with product. No need to dupe your consumers.

Absolutely love it. This serum is very creamy, goes on super smooth, and absorbs quickly. It looks very yellow right out of the bottle but that doesn’t last as soon as you start rubbing it in. I love the pump design so the product is never exposed to the air or sun until it comes out.
I’ve experienced absolutely no irritation or skin sensitively at all using this serum daily. However, I’ve also been using retinoids for quite a while, so I wouldn’t expect any irritation. If retinoids aren’t a part of your regular routine (they should be!!), definitely follow the application instructions on the bottle and build up to daily use. Retinoids are like magic. I didn’t know how they work, but they’re essential in a good skin care routine, imo.
This serum is definitely a little bit pricier than drugstore products, but it’s also one of the best ones I’ve used. This is another winner from Paula’s Choice.

My review is for the Paula’s Choice Pro Retinaldehyde Dual-Retinoid Advanced Treatment.
Like many, I love trying new skincare products, and Paula’s Choice has proven to be a brand worth trying. I will say, I struggle to justify the prices of stuff, since I do regularly see a dermatologist, and thus sometimes prescription products can be cheaper. However, this is unique in that it doesn’t 1:1 replace anything in my current skincare regimen from another brand.
At first use, I was thrown by the bright yellow color! That’s new for me, and I actually assumed there was some turmeric in it (wrong).
I HIGHLY appreciate that this is not only “fragrance-free” but is actually free of any odors or scents.
I look forward to long-term results of decreased skin redness as I’m ALWAYS red-faced in my current era.

I’ve been loving this retinol product! I’m currently using it every 3rd night working up to using it more often. So far I haven’t had any redness or irritation. It has no smell at all, which I love. It absorbs well onto my cleansed skin. It came with a sticker covering the info on the bottle, which is annoying, but the sticker came off easily as one piece. I like this so much more than the drugstore retinol product I had been using that had fragrance. This one has been easier to incorporate into my routine. I’m really happy with this product. I think this will be my new holy grail retinol treatment!
