This serum is very gentle on my combination skin. I noticed a difference in the texture and fine lines. It’s moisturizing under my night cream and it’s light without any noticeable smell. The serum has retinal and night blooming flowers that makes it feel luxurious in quality and value. Highly recommend.

I am very particular about any new product I try on my dry, sensitive skin, mainly because I have had bad reactions many times in the past that take me weeks to recover from. I have been using the dynamic skin recovery serum with retinol in it by another brand and have been tolerating it well so I was hopeful that this serum with retinal would perform similarly and not cause any problems for me. I had never tried a product with retinal in it so as always, decided to do a patch test on one side of my jaw and neck for starters. It applies smoothly and effortlessly and doesn’t cause any burning or stinging. I am happy to report that this doesn’t seem to cause me any irritation and is a green light for my skin. It hasn’t been long enough for me to determine if this performs better than the retinol serum I have been loving and using every day, but it does seem to be a strong contender. If at the end of this bottle, I decide to reorder because my skin seems improved, I will absolutely come back and upgrade this rating to five stars. For now, I think four stars is about right because it is a clean product with state of the art ingredients that has potential…as always though, be sure to do a patch test and comb over the ingredient list thoroughly to make sure there aren’t any potential allergens for you.

I have sensitive skin and am easily prone to breakouts. This serum is great as a retinol alternative! And it’s great value for how long it lasts.
