  1. Prime Mom

I was excited to try this Goop Beauty Vitamin C Eye Cream, because it has niacinamide and Vitamin C, which are two of my favorite skincare ingredients. However, this product did not agree with me, and I see many other reviewers here and on other sites have had a similar experience.

When I first put it on, I noticed it gave my eye area a little sheen and brightened it. I suspected it has Mica in it, which I confirmed by looking at the ingredients (see photo). All seemed good for a minute or two, and then I noticed my under eye area was tingling and reddening. Even the area above my eye started looking discolored. I immediately cleansed and flushed my face.

I have normal but “mature” skin which is not sensitive. In over a year of frequently testing beauty products, this is only the second or third one that I have had an issue like this with (and one of those was Nair. lol). I’m not sure exactly what caused this because I’m familiar with many of the ingredients. It’s possibly the Phytomimetic Vitamin A in the form of Bidens Pilosa Extract although I’ve been using other retinol products without a problem. I rarely give a one star rating, but I feel like this product is too strong for the sensitive eye area.

  2. Kaye Stain

This is my favorite eye cream right now. But, believe me when I say, as others have stated, .5 oz is so little for this price tag. There are surely cheaper comparable products, but I love this eye cream so much I’m not willing to go looking elsewhere just yet.

  3. Pamela

Didn’t really like it. Was a little too hard to apply.

  4. Joyce T.

    Good and fast delivery.

  5. Prime Mom

Certain mornings I wake up, and my eyes are puffy and dry. I suffer from Sjögren Syndrome, which reduces the moisture produced by eye and mouth glands. As far as my eyes, using this eye cream helps keep the skin around my eyes hydrated, which in turn helps my actual eyes. This cream has been a lifesaver on multiple levels. It gets rid of the puffy in the mornings while moisturizing the skin around my eyes, which then helps keep my eyes hydrated. It’s a win-win and helps my eyes look fabulous.

    HOW I USE:
    1 – Cleanse my face
2 – Apply my usual serums, then
2 – I apply a small amount around each eye. Then I pat it until it is absorbed.
3 – LAST, I apply my usual moisturizer.

I find if I want results, I must be consistent and patient. Missing applications slow the benefits of the product on my skin.

goop Beauty Vitamin C Eye Cream goes well with the other skincare products in my regimen.

    EXPIRATION DATE: 07/2025
I always check for an expiration date before using, ESPECIALLY with health & beauty products.

It is a bit pricey, which is a huge factor when I choose products, but for a professional brand product that gives exceptional results, I realize I will have to pay a higher price.

Out of pure curiostiy I decided to try the goop. Not that pricey by comparison to high end creams, but no effect that I noticed…brightness or otherwise.

  7. Pep11

LOVE this eye cream! It has replaced my $200+ usual. Very moisturizing without being greasy and the caffeine in it is always great to help perk up the skin.

  8. 🍁🍂Mellie

I’ll start off by saying eye creams are expensive, and this one isn’t an exception. That being said, this one does have better-than-most ingredients and great transparency. I do feel like my eyes look a little brighter after a few weeks of use. A little bit of product goes a long way. There is a very slight shimmer to it (but most products that say “brightening” seem to have this). The only thing I don’t like is that there isn’t a safety seal on the product at all.
