  • Dark Spot Remover: While the face serum is high-strength to deliver intense resurfacing—targeting skin tone, uneven texture, wrinkles, dullness, spots, and clogged pores—it’s also remarkably gentle on skin.
  • Hyaluronic Acid Serum: The lush, velvety formula comforts skin with a restoring “desert milk” made of soothing, moisturizing extracts of Kalahari melon, jojoba, and aloe, as well as oat beta-glucan, hyaluronic acid, glycolic acid, and squalane.
  • Clean Skin Care: This facial serum has none of the stickiness or powerful irritation of typical AHA serums, even as it sweeps away dead skin cells and debris for a dewy-fresh glow.
  • How to Use: Smooth one to three pumps of the dark spot serum over your cleansed face, neck, and chest in the evenings. Use four times a week to start, working up to nightly use. Some tingling may occur (glide moisturizer on top if you need it).
  • Consumer Results: After one use, 93% said the serum was moisturizing enough to wear alone.* After two weeks, 97% said their skin felt smoother and softer, and 90% said their skin looked visibly more radiant and luminous.**
  • *Based on an immediate third-party consumer study of 30 women between the ages of 35 and 65.

This goop Dark Spot Exfoliating Sleep Milk Serum with 10% Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid is an excellent AHA serum for my sensitive, dry, mature skin. I started by using this as a 5-minute mask and had no issues, so I’ve been leaving this serum on all night. So far, I’ve used it 6x without irritation and will continue using it about 3 nights a week. I haven’t tolerated most chemical exfoliants or at least get initial stinging. I was using a goop AHA/PHA toner that I stopped to use this serum, so maybe it helped my skin acclimate to this serum better, but I can’t really say.

This serum isn’t heavy and absorbs well. It feels surprisingly gentle and well tolerated despite my sensitive skin. I’ve had no discomfort, yet 10% glycolic acid is potent enough for exfoliation and real benefits. It’s actually at the upper end of the range (5%-10% glycolic acid) recommended for sensitive skin by sources such as Paula’s Choice. While I use good products to address multiple issues, I haven’t consistently used an AHA like glycolic acid and feel this serum is making a difference in terms of my skin texture, hydration, dark spots, etc.

I use a lot that provides immediate hydration, but this serum is different as my skin is more hydrated and calm even on the days I’m not using it. My skin is softer and smoother. My fine lines seem less noticeable already. The exfoliation seems to aid absorption of my hydrating serums and creams. I see slight fading of a couple stubborn dark spots that got lighter from other products but had reached a point where they weren’t fading more. I can’t fully judge this serum until I use it 4-6 weeks, but I notice positive changes already and it’s an AHA serum I can and will stick with. Love it. 5 stars.

    This product actually works.

I started using goop products by buying one and adding it to my cleansing routine. I discovered that I wasn’t happy with the results. goop products work together if you want to see results. Once I decided to use ALL GOOP PRODUCTS as my cleansing regimen is when I started to notice results.

I use this in combination with my other goop facial care. Adding this to the other two products, which I already use for my nightly facial regimen, is when I started to see a difference. I’m noticing that the texture of my skin is much smoother, and the tone of my skin is now blending and looking flawless. I have dark spots, or what some call sunspots, on my cheeks that have now faded and now blend in with the rest of my natural skin tone.

    HOW I USE: Night Time:
    1 – I use

    goop Cloudberry Exfoliating Jelly Cleanser

     then rinse with warm water.
    2 – I use a minimal amount of

    goop Flower Acids Resurfacing Toner

    .
    3 – NOW I have added

goop Dark Spot Exfoliating Sleep Milk

    .

I recommend using all goop products to get the best results. Mixing and matching certain facial products is not something I would suggest. Pick a BRAND and stick with it.

    EXPIRATION DATE: 12/2024
I always check for expiration dates before using, ESPECIALLY with any facial/body products. This expiration date tells me the product hasn’t been sitting somewhere but has been manufactured recently for distribution.

It is a bit pricey, which is a huge factor when I choose products, but for a professional brand product that gives exceptional results, I realize I will have to pay a higher price.

For $93 pretty disappointing…texture is sticky /tacky on my face and smell like glue. You can smell the chems in it. Maybe works but I just don’t feel good about putting this in my skin. Yuka and other ingredient apps say no to GOOP. I see why….

Overnight results. Best I have ever tried. Will use this for life! 😊😊😊😊😇

It seems to be a trusted brand that is all the rage right now. Still, I look for cost effective, budget friendly, and if I really benefit from putting this into my standard daily routine.

I do like the formula. It’s a serum that does feel good, medium thickness of product and application feels great. Sometimes when the formula is too light I feel like it’s not really penetrating my skin and being as beneficial as I would like. Also, it’s not so thick that it feels uncomfortable to get in my bedsheets with this stuff layering my face. A month of use and I do like the pleasant feel. Nonsticky. I still have the spots I wanted to rid so that’s not a good thing since that’s what I wanted it for BUT I do really like the hydration. I have terrible dry skin with some eczema patches. I think I can deal with the few spots and unbalanced skin tone than I can with the dryness. I notice a considerable amount of hydration to my face that I really enjoy. It has unintentionally become a primer for my makeup use later in the day.

Price, well it’s not exactly budget friendly even when a little goes a long way. It does help with my dry skin. It does help to keep my face moisturized…..and my neck…and for the luxury of that it’s worth it.

While the dark spots have only faded somewhat, the smoothness and glow of my skin was a lost immediate. It feels good going on and the morning after my first use, I saw a difference. The only downside is the price. I only use one pump for that reason and I find that’s plenty.
The reviewer who said it was sticky and left a residue must have gotten an outdated or copycat version. This is anything BUT sticky. It’s like glass on your skin.

  8. S. Scott

Completely overrated. There are other products out there that cost much less and are much more effective.
