I got this retinol cream to see if it could substitute my Dermalogica one with a triple the retinol content. The consistency was very similar, perhaps not as greasy. It spreads nicely and can be used both in the morning and at night. I have not really noticed any negative effects of reducing the retinol content and am happy with the product. I find it challenging to find a cream that is moisturizing yet not greasy. This one seems to fit the bill. With that said, it might be cost-prohibitive for some. I don’t use it as frequently as I would want for that reason.

This is a little stronger than some of the other retinols I have tried. But that’s a good thing–it actually works! I can only use it once every week, or week and a half for that reason. It has a noticeable effect the next morning when used at night. My skin was soft, appeared plumper, and the texture often present on my cheeks and forehead was less pronounced. I think fine lines were less noticeable as well. Good for when you need a more intensive treatment!

This treatment has a fairly high concentration of retinol, so it’s probably best for those who have some experience with this active and know how their skin will react. I find it fairly gentle yet effective. My skin feels plumper and I hope to see more of a reduction in fine lines. It does contain added fragrance, imparting it with a light floral scent.

The Lancer Advanced Retinol Treatment comes in a smooth, modern bottle. The pump is easy to use and dispenses the perfect amount of serum each time. I wasn’t crazy about the scent initially but after using the Lancer product I got over it. I did take off a star because I think some users might be off putted by the scent. After using this product for a week, I can say that I didn’t have any reactions or irritation. I would recommend this product to others!
