I have used this product for years. It used to be 30 SPF. Now it is 40 SPF. You have to add a bit of oil of Olay to smooth on your skin.

Love this – have used for many years – I thin out with a drop or 2 of water when apply to face to thin out – have tried others and always come back to this one

The seller was great, just writing to warn if you’ve used the spf 30 before this. There is a major difference. This consistency is much thicker with the new formula and is almost purely zinc based. I’m a guy and the previous formula would smooth out over my face evenly and feel soft. This product clumps up onto dead skin (my chapped lips) and and any scruff making it completely visible. With the zinc it’s acting more like a foundation rather than a moisturizer I feel. I loved the old formula and disappointed with this product. Thought it was expired so called and confirmed that it’s still good until 2023 and the new formula is what’s different. Great seller just product is different from the one I was use to so be fore warned.

Love these products. Faithful user of many. This has very light fragrance which dissipates immediately. Doesn’t melt off unless u r in direct sun. I do not use with foundation. It’s heavy duty sunscreen but it doesn’t make my eyes burn or water. Blend well or u will look like a ghost! Great product.

SUPER BUMMED! This use to be a beautiful, spreadable moisturizer with a dewey finish that I bought every spring/summer for my daily. It is now thick, sits white, and dries (fast) matte on your face like a straight mineral sunscreen. I have tried it twice now and didn’t get to finish my spread before it was dry and there is no layering. I was purchasing this for an every day wear moisturizer for the summer, to which this is not.
10 years of Eminence and my first product fail.

Update: I missed the return date so after making myself use the product a few times, it actually has dried my skin out. anti-moisturizing cream

  6. Claire Bistline

This product is horrible! It does not absorb into my skin and leaves a white glaze everywhere it was applied. And then hard to remove even with a washcloth. I’m definitely returning it.

Eminence Vanilla Day Cream is rich, the sunscreen coverage is great, and it works well on my sensitive skin. It doesn’t at all feel oily. I usually emulsify just a little for full face coverage. It’s not cheap, but the jar typically lasts at least two summers. I tried a drugstore moisturizer/sunscreen and it stung and didn’t absorb into my skin as easily – and felt very oily. Back to Eminence – this brand deserves my loyalty!

This day cream moisturizes very well, protects my skin from the sun and smells phenomenal – no chemical smell, all organic. It works wonders on my skin!

The only reason this has 4 stars instead of 5 is the SPF. When I first started using this day cream, it was SPF 32, and is now SPF 40. It is too thick and goes on white; I have to dilute it with water, which diminishes everything – the good feel of it on my skin, probably the SPF itself – and even the way it used to make me feel when I wear it. Still a wonderful day cream, but the “improved SPF” was definitely NOT an improvement for me.
