This is a lactic-acid based facial wash and is intended to exfoliate the skin. It will not remove makeup, especially eye makeup, nor is it supposed to, and in fact the instructions say to avoid the eye area. In other words, unless you do a double-cleanse this is not a good choice for nighttime. Even in the morning, you may need to take an extra step to remove any remaining makeup traces. As an exfoliator, though, it works pretty well, and even after using it for several weeks–though not every day; I don’t think anyone would recommend that–I still get a significant tingling when using it. It is a sort of thin gel, and one to one and a half pumps is enough. It rinses off very cleanly, but afterwards I get no sense of stripping, and my skin feels smooth and quite soft. There is a slight floral scent that I’m okay with, though some people may find it to be a problem. There is also the option of using this as a mask: just apply and wait ten minutes before rinsing off. As I prefer a cleanser that actually washes off makeup I may switch to using it as a mask, so that”s a nice option.

At first, I was a bit skeptical about this wash – the price is rather high, there was no foaming action, and there wasn’t any immediate effect from using it. However, over time I started to appreciate its light and tasteful fragrance, and even in daily use it was mild enough to not cause any irritation or over-drying, while providing all the benefits of a lactic acid-based cleanser. The cost of this product feels high, but if you are willing to spend this much on a skincare product, this one is definitely worth a look.

I’m all about products containing lactic acid these days, for skin brightening. This is a really nice cleanser that contains lactic acid. It is kind of creamy, not so much a foamy lather type of cleanser. It rinses away clean, leaves skin clean and doesn’t make my skin feel tight like I need to rush to put moisturizer on. I love the scent, which is very natural and plant-like. This cleanser seems to do a good job removing makeup too. I like it a lot!

An Esthetician from Sauna Skin Studio in Miami FL, recommended this face wash for me a few months ago and I’ve been buying it ever since. It’s a cleanser/natural exfoliant that won’t strip your natural oils. In fact it hydrates, reduces redness, and evens my skin tone with it’s organic ingredients. I have combination skin and this product works perfect for me. I love the smell as well! (:

I thought I’d give this cleanser a try since it claimed to be good for all skin types, including dry skin. I’d say that it takes a little too much out of my “slightly mature” skin and leaves it feeling stripped and parched. I prefer creamy cleansers for that reason and this acid wash does not act the same at all. I think it may be better for someone who has younger and perhaps oilier skin that can handle the cleansing and brightening ingredients. The scent also smells very acne-wash-ish, which just adds to the over-cleansing experience for me. Essentially, not a product for me but for these reasons, it may be exactly what works for you.

Agent Nateur – acid (wash) Natural Lactic Acid Skin Illuminating Cleanser isn’t like other cleansers. It doesn’t lather, and it’s more like a gel than a liquid. But what it does is help exfoliate the skin, which helps explain the price point. It also has only natural ingredients, which further explains the price point!

I will absolutely buy this in the future. I use this every day, but hold back if my skin seems a little bit dry. You can also use this as a masque, leaving it on for fifteen minutes, but I haven’t tried that yet.

What I have noticed is that my skin is less congested now that I started using this cleanser. I don’t have large pores, but now and then I would need to really exfoliate to feel like my pores were clear and all the dry skin was gone. With this cleanser, I’ve been amazed at how I don’t feel compelled to do that anymore. I feel that my skin looks and feels pretty good without any other exfoliation–as a matter of fact, I used my normal exfoliation method recently, and it was a little too much for my skin, as it caused some redness. So I enjoy using this as a part of my regular routine.

Recommended, but the price point is kind of high.

I have sensitive combination skin, and this lactic acid wash works well for me. It has a unique gel like consistency that creates a fine lather without foaming. The smell is a bit strong, but it’s tolerable for the exfoliating effect I get in return. My skin feels super clean and looks radiant without feeling stripped of moisture. It provides a great canvas for my morning beauty routine. At night time, I prefer a different cleanser that’s better targeted for removing makeup.

I have very sensitive skin, and this didn’t work for me. Something in this product I must be allergic to. I will be more careful in the future what I put on my face.
