This review is for the following item: Beekman 1802 Better Aging Nighttime Skincare Routine Set – 3-Piece – Firms, Smooths & Boosts – Good for Sensitive Skin – No Irritation – Clinically Kind – Fragrance Free

I ordered this nighttime set hoping very hard that it would help my face feel soft and smooth again. Lately I had noticed a slight roughness to my cheeks that I wasn’t happy about.

This was exactly what I was looking for. I always read the instructions on items and how it is suggested to use them. The wash says 2 pumps on dry face. Well I use 2-3 pumps on wet hands and give my face a good washing with a soft cloth. I find that works very well for me.

When I use the moisturizing cream, I sometimes add a bit of the serum to it and mix it in my hand. Again the instructions state to use a quarter size amount, but honestly, the amount will differ from person to person, depending on the size of each person’s face. I feel use an amount that makes you feel like you have it on properly. You don’t want to miss sections of your face due to using too little and you don’t want your face to be dripping with excess.

Now I have found all of the products to be very gently on my face causing no irritation at all. And after 2 weeks of use, I no longer have the rough patches on my cheeks.

I also did not have a problem with my skin absorbing the lotion. From the time I applied it, it took about 10 minutes before my face felt like there was no cream on it. I wear a CPAP mask at night and I don’t want my skin being slippery with product as I need my mask to fit properly with no leaks. This works great for me and my mask.

At the time I ordered this set, the price was $80, which I feel is a very fair price for the 3 items. I am very happy with this skin care routine set. It is making my skin feel like it’s self again.

As someone who has oily/combination skin, this set just doesn’t work for me. Although the cleanser does work, it’s very gentle and doesn’t provide the deep clean I need. The mask is very nice and something I will use on occasion, but I need something lighter for nightly use. The serum is very nice, but again on the oily/heavy side. All the products are good, but not right for me.

I’m having a hard time with this review because I should love this set, but I don’t. I’m not sure exactly why.
The wash is unusual, but it cleans without drying. The directions say to add two pumps worth of wash to dry skin. Each pump dispenses a small pea sized amount. After covering the whole face you are supposed to add some water to emulsify. For me, it just sort of starts to thin and then rinse. I expected it to turn a milky white or something. It doesn’t, but it does still seem to clean my face. This is non-stripping, so your face won’t feel “squeaky clean”, tight, or dry.
The serum spreads easily and soaks in okay. It takes a while to fully absorb and I don’t have the patience to wait that long at night. I tend to put the sleep mask over top while the serum is still pretty wet. There’s no fragrance and it’s non irritating.
The sleep mask is a heavier lavender cream. The directions say to use a quarter sized amount. It doesn’t say how thick that quarter should be. This isn’t runny, so it doesn’t spread to a quarter sized amount. You can make a thick circle or sort of mush it into your hand while you dispense for a thin quarter. In the end, I’ve determined about a 1/2” line at full thickness works for me. The mask sits on your face all night and gets washed off in the morning. Sometimes there’s more left on my face than other times. I suspect some is transferred to my pillow some nights, but my pillow case doesn’t look greasy or anything.
This routine does leave my skin soft and it seems to be well nourished. However, my skin also seems a little dull. I can’t quite explain it. I’ve been adding some brightening with my morning routine and it seems to help. So for me this is a good set but not quite as great as I had hoped.

  4. 13Stup

This is amazing quality. I feel like this is such a nice set to give to maybe your mom or sister or anybody who likes skin care because not only is this great quality but it’s such a pretty kit. I feel like it comes with a cleanser serum and a cream, which is literally an entire skin care routine at that. Everything is high-quality from the packaging and I feel like this is definitely worth money.

  5. Magnet Hoarder

I was glad I tried these, but I only use the moisturizer regularly (the Midnight Milk sleep mask). It’s really nice and absorbs well into my skin, leaving it very smooth and soft. I have sensitive skin, but this didn’t cause me any issues.

The cleanser is fine, but doesn’t take off make-up or sunscreen. You’ll have to use another cleanser for that. I sometimes use it in the morning, but I feel like I have to use a lot to get my skin cleaned. And even then, my skins feels like it has a bit of a film still on it.

The Dream Booster serum is too greasy for me. I think it caused some breakouts and it never felt like it dried on my skin. I don’t think it’s the right product for me.

I was going to give 3 stars for the trio set but i think this might work better for dry skin, so its a no for my combination skin.
The ingredients are good but there is no way i can apply the midnight milk ( cream ) and the oil in the same night routine. Ive tried applying the midnight milk first then following up with the oil to seal up. i woke up with my skin very oily.
Then i tested with applying the oil first then the cream on top. same issues. I think is best to get the items separate.
