I’m new to beards and was told to get something to keep my hair from drying out. Tried this and it smells great. It does give a good shine. I didn’t have any expectations as I didn’t know what to look for but I have tried other products with this scent and they aren’t as good as this one. I’ll be emptying out the other brands and just using this one.

Product goes on easily, leaves nice but very mild scent. Makes beard more manageable and less frizzy, and softer. Wife likes the way it feels, not as bristley. Doesn’t leave oily mess on your hands or face.

I’ve had my beard for 10 years now but up until 4 months ago I never put any product in my beard and just brushed it with my wife’s brush. I finally decided to listen to my friends and give VR a shot. In about a months time my beard was softer, more shiny(not too much), not as unruly and wife said it smells better. It’s all easy to use and it explains how much to use. The price is very reasonable for the quality of the product and a little boost in the self esteem column.

I have been to the main big box stores and got tired of seeing the same ol limited selection of beard products. So I came here and picked up this.
Thinking….it’s “Viking”…it has to be good. What I was looking for was a beard balm/wax that moisturizers and control. I have a medium length beard and like a thick balm for the control and style. This…..is nothing like that.
1. There is nothing “Viking” about it. It is made in China.
2. There is no control in this product.
3. The scent is not strong. If you are looking for your beard balm to double as a cologne, this isn’t it.
So why do I give it 5 stars? Well it moisturizes very well. As soon as you get a dab out on your fingers and rub it in your palms, it creates a very light layer that goes into every blade of hair. It leaves a light coat that’s not greasy. Everything that it says on its package, it delivers.

Having a beard the first thing you will notice is dry under skin which becomes itchy and not pleasant so after some research I found this product. It smells great and has subsided the flaky skin resulting in a less itchy beard. Great product which lasts longer than you think. Will buy again!

This balm is amazing, smells good and makes your beard much nicer. But whoever decided to put it in a tin like this should be fired. it’s so thin I can barely get a grip. it took me a while to open it, esp when your fingers are wet or moisturized. there zero reason for it to be in that kind of packaging. I finally had to bend the lip of the top so I could open it. great product, terrible and awful packaging

let me reiterate, my only issue with this product is the packaging. the balm is awesome and I’m happy I found it.

Helps to tame bed-beard. I apply before trimming. It helps a lot. I have had a lot of compliments on how nice it smells.

I recently tried this Beard Balm and find it to be an okay product, but not amazing. It does make my beard softer, which is nice, and my beard looks a bit healthier and shinier too. The balm is fairly easy to use, though it’s a bit thick and takes some effort to spread evenly.
One thing that really bugged me is that it says it will harden the beard, but it doesn’t actually do that. My beard feels just as soft and not any more stiff, so it doesn’t really help with styling as much as I hoped. The moisture it adds is decent, and my beard does feel less dry, but it’s not a huge difference.
Overall, the effect on my beard hair is okay. It looks slightly better, but not a drastic change. The performance is alright if you’re just looking for some softness and moisture, but don’t expect it to keep your beard in place all day. The Sandalwood scent is nice, though, not too strong but noticeable. Giving it 3 stars because it has some good points, but doesn’t live up to all its claims.

I’ve been buying this beard balm for the last 2-3 years now and absolutely love it! Im not a fan of the newer slimmer tin these come in, if your hands are a little slippery it makes it super hard to open but as for the actual beard balm, it’s perfect!
