I have severe dry mouth and hated Biotene. I tried these and was only able to suck on one until it was half way gone (which only took about 10 minutes), then it started to burn my tongue. I spit it out and went to sleep. I woke up 3 hours later and my mouth was just as dry as ever, with the sugar leaving granules on the inside of my mouth. This does not work any better than sucking on a cough drop or sipping on water. I hope I can return this product, but if not, at least it was only a few dollars.

Since I have tried other products for dry mouth, I thought I would add a review of them.

1)Biotene- Tastes like a weird bubblegum. The gel is really gummy and makes me extremely thirsty. I drink water and now the product is gone from my mouth. The mouthwash reminds me of drinking someone else’s spit. YUCKY!
2)Therabreath-Very acidic. Burns my mouth and upsets my stomach. Helps for a few hours. My least favorite product.
3)Thayer’s-Tastes like Tang. Takes a bit to get used to the flavor. Works for 3-5 hours. This product I liked the best out of the others.
4)Act-A lozenge that has a mild mint flavor. Works 3-5 hours. Flavor is not consistent between lozenges. I like it, but it contains sugar. This one is my second favorite.
5)MighTeaFlow-Doesn’t work very well. Maybe a couple hours and you have to use a lot. Contains Fluoride!

They provide saliva but are not particularly tasty, not a bad taste just not much flavor. My dentist hygienist recommended these for dry mouth.

My husband has had a very dry mouth all winter, all night long. We don’t use sugary silly little lozenges, which are nothing but candy, and don’t do him any good.

These work perfectly, and I’m very glad we found them.

  8. Annie G

They have a pleasant taste and make my mouth feel fresh

  9. CDCS

They taste ok , don’t last very long .nit a breath freshener , and really dosent hep with dry mouth . Handy to have in a pocket or purse . I would just as soon use a piece of hard candy really .

These lozenges truly work! Maybe not for the promised three-four hours, but, for at least an hour, your mouth stays moisturized! I also like that they are individually wrapped. Finally, you cannot beat the price. That being said, these are not perfect. They are WAY too sweet. Mint flavor does help with excessive sweetness, but the taste is still not great. No hint of mandarin either.
