im 17 and broke so i decided to try this. i had no problem doing this at all. i accidentally broke one trying to see how it works (user error). but other than that it, it worked very well, did not hurt, and pierced all the way through. i have a low pain tolerance but it seriously did not hurt as much as i thought it would.

Wow! What a pleasant surprise. Even with all
of the positive reviews I was still nervous – worried it would hurt and concerned I would somehow mess the piercing up. The verdict: I had nothing to worry about! There is really no way to mess this up. It’s easy and straight forward. Line it up where you want pierced and press the two ends together. My 13 year old daughter reported it did NOT hurt (her store ear piercing did hurt) her ear is not red (it was with professional piercing); the end result, we got a better result at home with this kit! In fact, I was so impressed with this piercing kit that I purchased a second one for my 9 year old daughter who has been begging to get her ears pierced as well. The kit includes two disposable self piercers preloaded with earnings and two alcohol wipes to sterilize the ears prior to piercing. Lastly, the earrings are actually so pretty. I can’t believe how affordable this set was. highly recommend this product to anyone looking to pierce their ears on a budget:

My order came as described with 2 ear piercing guns, 2 ear studs, and 2 alcohol pads. The ear piercing guns were pre-loaded with each ear stud and individually packaged. It was a very easy process! I just opened the package, wiped down the ear stud end and my ear lobe with the alcohol pad, and pierced my ear lobe. I pre-marked each ear lobe with a marker to help with accuracy. I found I needed someone to help me, so they could line up the piercing gun at a straight angle from the front of the ear lobe through the back of the ear lobe, which I had trouble eyeballing by myself. I put an ice cube on my ear lobe for less than a minute before each piercing, and I didn’t even feel when it happened.
The ear studs look great! They were a little larger than I expected but, I didn’t really have a reference for what 5mm size would be. I left the ear studs in for the recommended 8 weeks before changing them out, and they did not discolor, flake, or tarnish in any way. I was impressed with the quality of the ear studs. As a side sleeper, I wish I had done my homework on the type of ear stud to use when piercing my ear lobes. It would have been better to choose a flatter ear stud with a flat, screw-on back to avoid the post poking into my ear and neck while sleeping. I also snagged the front of the ear stud on my clothing a few times, which was not ideal.
This was an inexpensive, easy way to pierce my ear lobes, and I would use it again!
