I love my Philips shavers, but don’t love the cost of their cleaning pods, which run about six bucks each. Using a third party cleaning fluid you can bring that number down by refilling the pods you have. This particular variant offers 12 refills in a bottle, which brings that cost per (refilled) pod down to two bucks and change. A good compromise.
In terms of whether it’s a 1:1 replacement for the real thing…The ingredients listed for these mirror the ingredients in a Philips pod, although it’s not clear if these mirror the concentrations exactly.

Other than the first ingredient, these are preservatives and conditioners. They aren’t gonna do much to clean the heads of your shaver. The surfactant is similar to what Philips uses. Philips claims to include lubricants, but it’s not clear what those are, of if the ingredients of this cleaning solution mirror the composition.
So this is mostly a perfumed detergent. I tried it and it seemed to get the shaver heads clean and they felt fine after the cleaning. Cleaning the heads isn’t rocket science, and I’m satisfied to continue to use this (and save some money).

Like the other reviewers, I found this easy to use with a pleasant scent. The pricing is also a better option than other brands. I was also able to clean other shavers with this solution. Will be using this for all my shavers.

Philip’s official cleaning solution is expensive, so I will continue to use it.
I also liked that the capacity was not too large.
I was able to clean it just like regular products without any problems.

Since the Item’s web page has a good description and photos, I will not add any more description (other than what is already stated) or photos.
Nice and simple to use product, but the product bottle gives you basic instructions, but does not provide on how long to soak the product for. especially if you have a shaver that does not come with a cleaning system.

This is fantastic! It’s much cheaper than buying a new pod each time. It works great, and the directions on the bottle are easy to follow. Cleans very well, smells just fine, and is a fraction of the cost of replacing the cartridges (and presumably better for the environment with less wasted plastic). That said, there is now a listing for the Clean Pods, so if that’s what you need, go ahead and buy that instead to be safe. I highly recommend this if you need to refill the fluid for your razor.

Picked up this 100% alcohol free Cleanu solution to try it on cleaning and sanitizing shaver blades and other metal hygienic-use implements. Got a bigger than expected bottle that should last for some time which is a plus.
The solution has a light lemon or citrus kind of scent which I found to be quite pleasant. This liquid does a good job and after soaking my items in it the solution it rinses off easy leaving clean blades with no residue or film behind. I was also pleased with the price making it a very good value. Five Stars.

This is a totally different formulation compared to the original Braun cleaning solution. It smells different and most importantly doesn’t contain any alcohol. This might be good if you have sensitive skin, but I feel like the cleaning power is reduced because of the lack of alcohol. Especially since the old cartridge you are refilling most likely isn’t 100% clean, I feel like this solution needs extra cleaning power and not less. I’d only reuse a cartridge once, then toss it and replace it with an original Braun one. This refill solution thus effectively doubles a cartridge’s lifespan, so it does end up saving you some money.

I like that this cuts down on plastic waste so much. 12 refills at the recommended mix ratio which appears to work fine, but I’m considering experimenting with a lower ratio to see if it still works well. I suspect it will.
