Saniderm is a tattoo game changer. My artist uses it and gave it to me to try and I truly recommended it. I’ve used it on every tattoo since. I have almost a full sleeve now and all of my tattoos have healed beautifully. I have it applied after the tattoo is finished, leave it on for up to 24 hours, then once removed I give the tattoo a good clean with Dial Gold Antibacterial and then gently pat dry with a paper towel. I do not apply any Aquaphor or any lotion before applying the second application of Saniderm. I typically leave the second application on for 3-6 days, depending on the tattoo. Once removed, I continue with recommended aftercare, but there is minimal peeling at best and hardly any itching!
Pros: no need to worry about dirt, pets, or germs. Tattoos heal nicely! Saves time from having to wash the area 3-4 times daily.
Cons: it can definitely hurt to peel off! I highly recommend taking a warm shower before removing. Areas like the elbows can be tricky, but you can always use multiple pieces, if need be.
Overall, highly recommend! I’ll continue to use this product with every tattoo I add.

So I have a lot of colored tattoos and I’ve always had issues with scabbing. I started a full arm sleeve and for the bottom half I did not know about Saniderm and it scabbed like crazy and was very tight and hurt a lot. For the second sitting of my upper arm, I used the Saniderm. I put it on eight hours after the tattoo and kept it on for 24 hours like the directions said. I took it off the following day, washed it and put a second piece on and left it on for five days. Yes… It is almost impossible to take off and took me about 35 minutes to slowly peel it off , but it is perfectly healed with no scabs whatsoever and I’m absolutely amazed!! Used this product on a tattoo several years ago, now I will never get a tattoo without it.
Trick it to use several smaller strips (3/4-inch pieces) and completely cover the fresh tattoo. Leave on for 12 hours. Remove it very slowly and carefully. Use a bunch of soapy water to make sure the skin doesn’t get negatively affected. Roll it down slowly (1/2-inch) at a time. Clean the skin really well with antibacterial soap. Then reapply (small strips again), make sure the tat is covered about an inch past the tattoo edges. Make sure there are no air bubbles before you apply the next piece. Leave this on for 6 solid days.
