  1. Buen producto

I only needed a replacement beard trimmer (no need for a shaver as such) and was originally somewhat skeptical about the concept of using a small electric shaver with an adjustable trimming accessory. But the reviews were good, and I decided to give it a try.

It turned out to be a great 3-in-1 appliance. PROs:
    1. The trimming accessory is simple, sturdy, doesn’t bend arbitrarily, ensures uniform trimming length, and is easy to adjust. Do NOT pay attention to reviews where some people complained about incorrect trimming length. We should all understand that these scales are approximate and relative. What used to be 2.5mm on my old trimmer is 3.5mm on this one (2.5 produces something close to the 5 O’clock stubble). Just find the correct position. It’s quite predictable from there. In my case, if I need to trim it a little longer, I just switch to 4 or 4.5mm.
    2. The whole thing is very easy to clean. The trimming accessory can be instantaneously removed (or put back on) and washed separately. To clean the shaver, just turn it on and wash it for 15 seconds under the tap, as recommended in the manual.
    3. It’s VERY compact compared to a regular rechargeable trimmer but works no less efficiently. A significant plus for traveling.
    4. An unexpected but welcome advantage: a much smaller “contamination” area. With all my previous dedicated trimmers, small, trimmed pieces of hair were flying in all directions within the 2+ ft radius, and I had to carefully clean both the sink and the shelves around it after each trimming. With this one, the “contamination radius” is much smaller, and cleaning afterwards is so much easier…
    5. After a month, the battery shows no signs of depletion. Looks like I can take it with me on a month-long trip without any need for recharging it.

CONs: None are too bad, but you need to take it into account.
    1. The shaver uses a custom 15V power adapter with a weird custom cable, and you will have to take it with you anywhere you go. Moreover, you will not be able to charge the shaver if you accidentally lose this power adapter, or it breaks. WHY, oh WHY can’t they design these rechargeable appliances to use the worldwide standard, i.e. an USB-C port??? Any USB-C power source for notebooks and smartphones automatically adjusts to anything between 5V and 20V. It IS important to take as few cables/chargers as possible when you travel, let alone the risks of losing this stupid custom power adapter…
    2. Another universal design flaw inherent in 95% of all rechargeable appliances: Neither a small, recessed BATTERY OFF switch accessible only with a staple/small pin, nor a safety latch preventing accidental powering on. This IS important when you travel and want to put the shaver or trimmer in your luggage. Imagine something moving and pressing against the Power ON button during numerous bag loading/unloading procedures! It beats me why nobody thinks of this simple precaution when designing appliances that are frequently used while traveling…

By far my favourite trimmer, great battery life, the adjustable attachment is a game changer.

I’ve been using a one blade for years but I wanted to upgrade. After reviewing some other companies and models I decided to get the 360. I was surprised with the small upgrades to the original that really seemed to help. Shave is closer, no ingrown hairs or redness, and it comes with a nice attachment that will cut everything from trimming a short beard to almost a 5 o’clock shadow. If you’re a fan of one blade this is nice and very convenient. Easy cleanup too.

I’m in the middle of a move and I have most of my stuff in storage. I messed up and forgot to bring my facial hair trimmer and electric shaver with me. This product cover both uses with a single, small, and relatively inexpensive price. Trimming works *better* than my old dedicated trimmer. My old trimmer’s guard worked in a way that preventing it from trimming the hairs directly below my nose. I had to manually remove the whole guard and manually attempt to trim those hairs to the same height. I could never get the height identical, but usually it was close enough. Sometimes a messed up though, and it looked weird or it would require me to retrim everything else to match.

This unit gets much closer to the bottom of my nose and if I come at it from left-to-right and right-to-left multiple times I can get all my facial hair the exact same length without eyeballing it and manually trying to shave some hairs without screwing up. For moustache/beard trimming I love it.

I currently only close shave some hair in my neck, stray hairs all over my cheeks and my chin-strap up to my lengthening side burns. It does a fine job at that, but especially on the neck it takes multiple passes. Without doing a whole-face clean shave I can’t really pass judgement on it, but it does what I need it to do well enough.

I only need one device, it’s quite compact, reasonably priced and trims like a champ, so I am very pleased.

Wishishlist: USB-C charging. It would allow me to carry fewer chargers and cables and borrow chargers if I forget mine, and they have the possibility of adding really fast charging.
Fiber trimming lengths above 5mm. I tried 4.5 mm, but that is much shorter than I usually trim to (still makes me look good though). My bet is my standard length is between 5.5mm – 6.5mmm. But the dial maintains .5mm gradations from .5mm to mm then jumps to 7mm then tops out at 9mm. There’s 90 degrees of empty marking still left on the dial face so they could still fit 5.5, 6, and 6.5mm on there, so you get fine adjustments all the way to 7mm, then one (long) 9mm option. I’ll try 7mm next time. If it is too long, I’ll stick with 5mm (I’ll still look good and won’t have to shave as often).
Make it clear that this model doesn’t have Bluetooth. I spent an hour and a half trying to pair this thing to my phone (mostly due to curiosity), but it turns out this model doesn’t have Bluetooth and it looks the model that does have Bluetooth is practically non-existent and maybe was/is not available in the US. The stupid inside of the box encourages you to download the app and then when you, after you select for device model it tries to get you to pair it with Bluetooth. Just dumb and lazy.
More precise battery level indicator. It appears to only have 3 lights to indicate battery level. 4 should be the absolute bare minimum and given the size needed for an led light, how cheap those lights are, and how much space there is on the front face of the device, it really should have 6 – 10 smaller lights. That really would be so much more helpful. 3 lights are hardly better than no lights at all.

Attaching and detaching the blade and guard is very simple and it seems very solidly attached. It looks like the blade is supposed to be able to swivel up to 360° but I can’t figure out how to swivel it at all. On the other hand, I have no clue why I would need to swivel it, so I don’t count this mystery against it.

I only used it once so I don’t know how good the battery life is. I really doubt it small enough to be annoying. Modern L-ION batteries contain so much energy these days. Not sure about charge rate. The charger says 15v and 5.4 w. That seems really low. Old USB 2 maxes out at 12 w (5v at 2.4 amps). Here is where switching to USB C as a charging port can really help. Low-end, kinda becoming standard, is 5v, 3 amps or 9v, and (around) 1.67amps. Nearly triple the rate would be helpful if you forgot to charge and are in a hurry to do a quick trim. Plus USB-C has standards that easily hit dozens of watts at various voltages and can even do over 100 watts; overkill for this application, but even a relatively sluggish 15 watts would be very useful.

If you want a good, easy-to-use, inexpensive, compact trimmer that can potentially handle all shaving needs in a single, elegant device. I can’t really tell you how good it is for a highly close, full-face shave for someone like me that struggles to get a satisfyingly superclose shave when I do it. Maybe read a different review for that angle on the device, but for my shaving needs right now it totally does the job in one device at a good price. When I get my stuff out of storage I will be tossing my dedicated beard trimmer. Maybe I’ll have a full-face shave-off putting this against my fancy and expensive close shaver (the only thing that has given me a close shave that I was completely satisfied with). If this device can match (beat?) my close shaver it will be like a miracle and I’ll probably give the older device to my oldest son.

Last words: I really like this thing and I hope it is reliable and durable. If they implement my wishlist on a newer version I will be over the moon. I will immediately buy it and sing its praises.

First off, I usually only cut down to 5 o’clock shadow, so choosing this trimmer wasn’t an easy choice. It’s good for trimming but even better if you like a close shave. I actually have done a few close shaves, which I hadn’t done in over a decade. No razor burn at all. This might be the best thing about this trimmer…

I also love the weight and size. It’s much smaller and lighter than my last Philips trimmer. I’d say this makes it more portable, but half the times I go to pull it from my toiletries bag, the trimmer head is missing and I have to dig around for it. Worse is that the blade protection cover also falls off almost every time, which I worry will lead to blade damage.

This leads to the last point I’ve felt the most frustrated with; the blades are expensive and very one directional. While shaving, you must go against the hair or it pulls your hairs quite a lot. This means only one side of the blades are usable if you aren’t going for a close shave, so you end up replacing the blade far more often than if it could be reversed. This also makes it challenging to trim OR shave my neck where hair grows in varied directions.

Oh, and the battery is impressive!

If you’re using it for a close shave, this is closer to a 4.5-star, and if you don’t travel and you close shave, it’s a solid 5.
