This product worked as expected and is a good value. The design & quality is appropriate for being stuck in your mouth, nose, or ear to take pictures. Very slim and easy to use and clean. A good value at $25.00

I lost time however trying to find the right application. I was distracted because the applications I first attempted to use required android 11 and I was using android 10. However the Xscope application worked fine (after rereading the webpage and finding the name of the correct application). The app is minimal but sufficient, and allows taking the pictures and videos.

There is one major design flaw: It is not possible to turn off the LEDs. This means that once you plug the device into your phone the LEDs will light as soon as the USB device is recognized and will stay lit until you unplug the device which presents an unnecessary load on your battery & drains it unpreventably.

It would also be nice to have a replaceable lens cover & an angled lense for oral use.

I have worn hearing aids for over 25 years. Earwax is the #1 reason for hearing aid issues/problems. Keeping ear canals clean and wax free is a priority for any hearing aid user.

I’ve always done a monthly cleaning using wax removal drops, but, never really went to the point of using an Otoscope to see how I did.

The Anykit comes ready to plug in;… its chip has the app link, so when you plug it into your iPad/iPhone, it will immediately bring up the app needed and ask you to install it. So Easy! (I assume Android device setup will be similar).

In using it, I found the images clear and well lit. Its as good as the one I’ve seen my Audiologist use!

That said, my first ear inspection following what I thought was a thorough cleaning confirmed that I had to do better than that!

I changed my technique to waiting 20 minutes or more for the drops to loosen up really old and embedded wax, plus, flushing out my ears multiple times with very warm water to completely flush out this debris.

In summary, I should have purchased this or other similar Digital Otoscope a long time ago. Lesson learned.

Don’t buy the least expensive Dig Otoscope you can get. If the image is lower resolution, image is soft, not well lit, you won’t happy with it nor be keeping it.

For just under $30, for the easy setup, the great optical quality, plus the cleaning accessories and extra tips you get in this kit, I suggest not looking much further for one. This is a keeper for me for sure. 5 Stars all around!

As someone who frequently deals with ear infections, the Anykit Digital Otoscope for Phone has been a game-changer for me. I’ve purchased several otoscopes in the past, but this one stands out as the best. The clarity and quality of the images are outstanding, making it easy to monitor my ear health. It’s user-friendly, with a straightforward setup and seamless connection to my phone. The additional accessories and tools included are a great bonus. If you’re looking for a reliable and effective digital otoscope, I highly recommend the Anykit Digital Otoscope for Phone!

We have two different otoscopes that work with phones one is wireless that run on wi-fi and the other is this Anykit unit. This is our go-to unit for a number of reasons. The connection with the phone is reliable, the video image is clear, and this unit does not have the ear cleaner permanently attached. Because of this, you can better visualize the ear drum, if necessary. It works great for exams. (The other wireless unit we purchased has the ear cleaner which extends past the camera and it’s nearly impossible to visualize the ear drum.) Occasionally the image will get hazy or blurry. This means the camera needs to be cleaned. We use an alcohol wipe and a cotton swab to clean, then it’s good to go!
As far as ear cleaning is concerned, it performs “ok.” The clip-on cleaners are tiny and can be hard to manage if you have large fingers or aren’t particularly dexterous. Otherwise, they work once you get them attached. If they flex or wiggle while you’re cleaning, you’re probably applying too much pressure to the ear canal.
This is a great item to have on hand if you have need to check ears on a regular basis, have a kid who has significant waxy build-up, or complains about having bugs in their ears. They can see on the camera that there are, in fact, zero bugs in their ears, just wax. Everyone gets to go back to sleep.

Setting up the app on an Android phone and connecting the otoscope is super easy. The camera works well and can easily take pictures inside the ear. The black pieces hold open the ear canal to allow you to easily see inside the ear. However, the tools they give you with the kit for removal could be more helpful. When you place the little yellow ring and then the chosen remover piece, you can no longer easily see inside the ear because nothing is holding open the ear canal any longer. So, unless you want to try to clean the ear blindly, the wax remains in place until you can see a doctor for removal. Three stars because it is helpful to see in the ear, but not five because you can’t clean out anything if it is beyond regular eyesight in the canal.

The instruction manual was clear and included a QR code that linked to the android app download. The app was easy to understand as well as the setup and operation of the otoscope. Images were clear and allowed visualization of the ear canal. I was very satisfied with this purchase.

Did not like that it does not connect to iphone.

I got this in the hopes of being able to look in my own ears for signs of infection. It works for that and I can look in my mouth as well. I have used it once so far on a toddler. It is better than a normal scope, but taking good pictures while holding it still with a toddler is improbable.
