The cream is very thick and hydrating but I’m not sure if my skin stays hydrated. As thick as the cream is by morning my skin is still a little dehydrated. I’ve only be en using this product for about 2 weeks. Lastly, the bottle is too deep and it does not come with a application wand.

I’ve been slowly changing my skincare over to Korean brands and this brand is fantastic. This is very moisturizing so you only have to use a little bit. I do have combination, sensitive, and acne prone skin and I used a bit too much when I first got it so I did have quite a few breakouts. Once I figured that out my skin does great and is so smooth and bouncy after use! Also with the small amount needed this jar will last a while and you can’t beat the price! Will be buying again. Highly recommend!

this is my new favorite moisture cream and i’ve always ordered it from amazon. the product itself has no flaws, it works well at keeping my skin soft and hydrated.
the issue i have now has twice is what concerns me ….
the first bottle i ever bought was good, used it till the end. so i bought a second bottle and noticed that every time i would screw/unscrew the cap, shards of the cap would fall off and into my cream. at first i thought it was just a one time thing so i wiped the cap clean and picked out all the specks. in the 2nd photo, you can see my used tissue to clean the rim of the cap. the next morning after screwing it open, the same thing happened where the particles fell into the cream. definitely a product packaging error but it’s so odd. so i thought it was a one time thing- i made a return request and they sent me a new one at no cost. so bottle 3 comes to me and it’s exactly how it should be, no issues. eventually i finish the 3rd bottle and so i ordered a 4th one about 2 weeks ago….. same issue again. the cap being twisted grinds the plastic and it falls into my cream. i once again did another return and they sent me another free cream and it’s perfect condition.
so basically, im not sure if other people have had this issue but my boyfriend orders straight from the website and he’s never had issues so i may start doing that so quality can stay consistent.

I have HIGHLY sensitive, acne prone skin that tends to be on the dry side. It is so incredibly difficult for me to find products that work for my skin because I tend to get irritation which leads to break outs, or they simply don’t provide enough hydration for me, leading to irritation and breakouts. It’s a vicious cycle. I have been searching for a deep hydrating moisture cream that will work in my daily skin care routine for at least a year now. Even Cetaphil Rich Hydrating Face Cream would burn my skin half the time. I was so frustrated because what do you do if even the most basic skin care brand, known for being basic and gentle, burns your skin?
I am so grateful that I found this brand. I first tried their Essence Toner and was in love so I decided to try this Intensive Repair Cream.
This product is intense moisture but doesn’t feel heavy on my skin at all. It absorbs so well and keeps my skin hydrated for 12 hours or more. One of my favorite things is that it is totally fragrance free. I have been combining this cream with either a hyaluronic acid serum (either from The Ordinary or Good Molecules) or a gel cream moisturizer (my favorite is the Goodal Calming Cream). I feel the Pyunkang Yul Repair Cream *really* sinks in this way, and it also thins the cream just a bit for the days I feel my skin need slightly lighter, but still effective, hydration.
I love this brand so much. The two products I have tried have both become part of my morning and nighttime skincare routine. I feel like they are secret weapons in keeping my skin soothed, clear and hydrated. Not to mention that the packaging of this product is beautiful. This cream comes in a nice, weighty glass jar and the box feels very nice and high quality as well. Most importantly, the products themselves FEEL luxurious on the skin.
I honestly am scared to recommend these products to others because I don’t want there to be high demand! lol But, if you have sensitive skin or are looking for no BS, effective and simple skincare, Pyunkang Yul is gonna be a god send.

I’m very picky with skincare but this barrier balm is one of the best, if not the best moisturizer I’ve ever used. It’s affordable, a little goes a long way, it’s so amazing at repairing damaged skin barriers and soothing irritation. It has never broken my combo/acne prone sensitive skin out and the texture is divine- plump & bouncy. I will never again be without this incredible product.

I have cystic acne & dry skin, which becomes more dry and sensitive when I use my retinoid. The Intensive Repair Cream is very moisturising for my dry skin and I didn’t need to use a lot or layer up to make my skin feel satiated. It also never irritated my skin or my eyes. It would only mildly sting (which dissipated quickly) when my skin barrier was already compromised by the retinoid but that happens with any product with a damage barrier. Also, did not flare up my acne.

I’m 42 and have increasingly sensitive and dry (esp. winter) skin. So far (3months into this product), this cream is doing well for me. I love that it’s scent-free and it does a good job of moisturizing my skin. I don’t feel dry after (except when it’s very cold and we have to crank up the heat in the house). The consistency is creaming but not heavy. It goes on my face nicely and easy to spread. Very generous amount. I’m 3 months in and have only used about half the jar.
The only downside is pollutants/fluffs and such can easily get into the cream and contaminate it. It doesn’t come with any spatula to help you scoop the cream out. Not a big deal, just be mindful and make sure your fingers/tools are clean before you dip them in.
