I used to have to stay inside for days at a time my face was so bad. I was a skeptic, but this product fixed it. Worth the price.
Long version: I have combination/ dry skin that is really sensitive with Rosacea and Eczema. Every face cream I tried burned, gave me a rash, etc. Nothing moisturized enough, especially in winter when I would get red scaley patches all over my face. My skin was red and splotchy year round. I tried so many face creams – from the drugstore, beauty stores, spas, dermatologists, and all natural 3 ingredient oil hippie concoctions. I tried 5 prescription lotions and 3 prescription pills.
One day I went to the health food store and saw Dr. Hauschka’s Rose Day Cream. Thought: expensive. I loved the true smell of rose petals. But it contains lanolin to which I am allergic so I initially dismissed it. The girl working there gave me a little sample, and I put some on my hand (which is drier than my face), and I drove home. 4 hours later my hand was so soft and smelled nice. I had never experienced moisturizing retention like that in any lotion, and it didn’t itch- a miracle in itself.
Two years later I use it almost every day and night on my face. I don’t react to the lanolin in this product. This and Dermalogica Barrier Repair are the only two products that do not irritate my face. The Rose Day Cream never stings when I put it on and I don’t get rashes or dry patches anymore. I still have red cheeks, but my skin is so much better than I ever thought possible. This cream is a cure.
BUT it’s not for everyone. It’s a little greasy when you apply it (I need that, it protects your skin). Some may call it a night cream because it’s thick or heavy. The tube is like a small toothpaste tube, I never have a problem with it. It’s easy to control how much comes out and you really only need a little. It says day cream, but it has no sunscreen.
I wish I could use it as a hand cream too, but it is cost prohibitive.
I have purchased 3 times from this seller and it always arrives early and in good condition, and at a lower price than Whole Foods, which is the only place to buy locally.
Edit: Amazon has taken over management and increased the price. It’s not a $ deal anymore.

The best cream what you can buy. I believe in a quality because German always making beautiful products. I Use it for the night time. Day time would be too rich for my skin.
And you really need just tiny amount. Then price should not scare you.

This lotion is thick but not moisturizing. It seems to just sit on top of the skin and doesn’t absorb well. I tried warming the lotion between my fingers before applying to see if that would help but my skin felt tight/dry despite feeling greasy to the touch. I liked the consistency and the scent is not too strong but it just didn’t do it for me had to return.

Have been using this cream for many years & would always recommend it. It is very gentle & is kind to my skin. would not be without it wish it came in a bigger tube. You only need a small amount so it goes a long way & has beautiful rose smell . It is my go to moisturiser.

I bought this cream, after reading that JLO swears by this daily moisturizing cream you can get at Whole Foods. JLO has amazing skin. I have a similar skin complexion to hers and wanted to try it. Being the busy parent that I am, I ordered it from Amazon. After 1 month of nightly use, I have noticed that my skin is much smoother and even toned. I apply this after washing my face and applying a concentrated Vitamin C serum (I let that sink in for 2 minutes first). The consistency is think and greasy, but I swear once you put it on, it seems to soak into your skin and give you a healthy glow. This is the reason I like to apply it at night only. It also smells like roses.
The only drawback is the packaging. It comes in a metal tube that tends to crease and crack. As a result, everytime you squeeze the tube, some of the cream also comes out of the creases. I also find that the oil in the cream separates from the cream and comes to the top of the tube. Because the tube is metal, it makes it hard to mix prior to squeezing the tube. Again, this isn’t Amazon’s fault. This is a product design flaw by the manufacturing company. Nonetheless, I can live with this, so I continue to buy this cream .

I live in FL and have lots of sun damage, which of course worsens with age. I bought this as a “last resort” after reading the reviews and purchasing nearly every product the market had to offer in the way of creams, serums and treatments. This goes on a little like old fashioned zinc oxide kind of thick, but obviously I did not wear it all off at night because my skin looked quite different this morning. I NEVER see improvement in my rear-view mirror but I did today. I just wish this came in a larger size. I intend to buy the whole line.

I’ve been buying this cream, loving it, then abandoning it because of the price, and then coming back to it again and again. It’s wonderful for my dry skin. I’m in my mid-40s and really don’t look it. It’s probably not all due to the cream, but the reason why I keep coming back to it is that I love the way it makes my skin soft, does away with any redness and breakouts, and even seems to smooth soft lines. I am really glowing (not in a radioactive kind of way…)when I use it. Yes, it’s a fairly small tube, and yes, it is expensive, but a little goes a long way and, if you can afford it and, like me, are vain enough to care about your skin, go for it.
