This is my second waterpick from the company that started it all. The first one was discarded after it could barely hold a charge. It worked well and I was told by my hygienist that my teeth has less build up. I tried third party versions and now just bought this one. While they all work for cleaning teeth, the Waterpik version is much better built all around, thus partially justifying the higher cost. I like the design of the ON/OFF button that it is easier than the competitors to find the switch by feel and turn it on and off by one hand. The third party versions usually requires pressing a button that is recessed which can be hard to find and press. While this has only two power settings, the “High” setting is just right. Anything with more powers can be dangerous in my opinion if the jet is accidentally pointed at a sensitive part of the face (or the eyes). So why not 5-star? It is the electronics which in many way looks like the old one I bought more than 5 years ago. In this time and day, a rechargeable unit that does not tell us how much juice remains and communicate its charging status when being plugged in is simply not acceptable at this price point in 2022. This unit also does not use Li-batteries and I do not know how long one charge can last. My third party versions tend to use Li-batteries that can be charged quickly, and easily hold the charge for well over 2-weeks when used once daily. Finally the charging on this unit is not wireless and there is no cover for the Charging port. For the latter one worries whether minerals deposit over time can impair charging efficiency.

Update: I finally returned it. The battery technology is so behind the curve and it impacted how one can satisfactorily use this product. One full charge does not seem to last two weeks, and there is no way of knowing when the power is low. When the power is out, you cannot use it while plugged in so you have to skip the cleaning. While it is being charged, you don’t know when it is full, and the charging is very slowly that can take more than over night, depending on how low the battery is. I estimate if the battery is completely depleted, which is case most of the time it needs charging because you only learn about this when it stops working, it can take a whole day to fully charge, if not, it won’t last a week. This is the same issue I ran into with the first generation of Waterpik more than 4 years ago, and it hasn’t been fixed. I am taking down one star.

Da la sensación q es una tecnología un poco superada. Lo cambié por uno chino q vale la mitad y a mi parecer es mucho mejor

Great product! Easy to use and portable!
You will see and feel a dental difference after the first use. It only gets better. I use some mouthwash in the container for added cleaning.

I work for a dentist . He sells these for $120 in his office he says this is the best one you can get . I got mine off Amazon where he gets his . So just thought you should know. Thought this would help people. I did ask the dentist Is there a difference between the cheaper ones enough of a difference . He said no. He said If you don’t have the money for this one it’s ok get anyone. So I overcame addiction. I needed all new teeth. Along with that I have lupus. So you can imagine what my gums were like. This changed everything . I don’t want to share anymore about my personal life but this one is the only one I’ve tried and it has changed my gums.

Works well and gets the plaque out, just need to learn the water flow .
    Enjoy.

Appareil efficace mais un peu encombrant pour le transporter en voyage.

  7. *h*star

good and easy to use, and i like the different heads it comes with. It’s not as powerful as the Waterpik operated on non – rechargeable batteries , which is a pity. still, recommending this product.

  8. lizbeth

Es muy potente solo uso el primer nivel por que es la primer vez que lo uso y tengo encias sensibles pero en realidad ayuda mucho con la limpieza y la bateria es duradera

  9. Cheree N. Lane

    I really like using it
    Way better than flossing
The Jet of water really gets out those small bits between teeth

  10. adg

Very important for health of gums and teeth. Gets into places that floss can’t.

Good quality works great and does a super job. This newer version is quieter than my old one which lasted years. Would recommend as its helpful to get debree from under bridges, etc. and between teeth.

  12. Shelby helmig

I own the battery powered unit, as well as the AC powered tank unit and found this to be the most convenient.
Here’s what I like about it. It takes up very little room on the sink and sits up straight on its base. I like the fact I don’t have to worry about the battery needing replacing (my battery operated unit seams to run out of juice just when I don’t have replacement batteries handy). The charge lasts for over a week with daily use. I like the size and shape of the unit, with the on-off switch easy to operate when hands are wet. It’s easy to fill.
Here’s what I don’t like. It’s not as powerful as the AC unit and the battery unit seams to have more power. However, it is enough power to give a good flossing. The other thing that’s a negative is the capacity of the tank. It would be nice to have a little more. I always seem to run out of water just before I’m completely done. Maybe with practice, I can learn to do it completely in one tank.
    Overall, I love it!
