I have had it for a month. It shaves as close as a blade. It does not pluck it cuts which may because it is new and sharp. Battery seems to be long lasting. The first few shaves may irritate your face. Stay with it. I can’t give it 5 stars yet because I have not had it long enough to rate how long the thing will last, etc.

Head shaves (for me) are right dang tight to the scalp. I used to get straight razor shave on my scalp and face from my local barber, he recommended next head shave try his wahl “machine” he calls it. He said it’s tighter than the straight razor, so I tried and he wasn’t kidding. Looking online, I realized my barbers model was obsolete, so I tried the new vanish model, bit pricey… but it’s gonna save on my barber shop expenses. This thing is no joke, it’s perfect head shave (for me…), BUT, not great for my face shaving. Highly recommend for daily or every few days head shaving

been using this for shaving my head for about 8 months now. still using original blades that came with it. almost as close a head shave as with a manual razor, works great for my hair which isn’t too thick. I can go up to five days between shaves with it and still get a good head shave. for reference, with a manual two blade razor i would go up to 7 days between shaves without having to use trimmers first.

I bought this foil shaver with some trepidation after my previous foil shaver stopped accepting charge. I wear a half facemask or filtering facepiece outdoors due to health issues. Having a clean shaven face is the only way to get these things airtight against the skin. This shaver has surpassed all of my expectations and I’m sorry I didn’t know about it sooner. Its performance is beyond my expectations. The resulting shave is incredibly smooth. The battery life is even better despite it being smaller than the previous foil trimmer. Charging is fairly straightforward, and I enjoy the fact that you can use it plugged in without using the battery. Definitely worth the money if you need that very smooth shave. I would also plan on purchasing replacement cutter bars and foils as this is a very high tolerance trimmer to get that very smooth shave – that is my plan. The included accessories come in handy and the instruction booklet is fairly easy to understand. I especially appreciate the foil cover that clicks securely in place, unlike some other shavers, I’ve used in the past. Would definitely recommend.

I’m a professional barber of 6 years. I purchased my first Wahl Vanish shaver in May 2023 after my 3 year old Andis shaver finally died. My first Vanish lasted about 5 months after which I stopped using it because even though I would let it charge for hours sometimes, only the first light would come on. It lost power and would take forever to bring stubble down to skin. I thought I may have gotten a dud since my coworkers have the same shaver and they didn’t have any problems. I bought another Vanish on Amazon in December 2023 and that one slowly stopped working too, same exact issue. I emailed Wahl about this issue so hopefully they can help me out with a new one. If not I’ll just have to go back to the Andis that lasted 3 years before it died instead of 3 months like the Vanish.

I’ve been looking for an electric shaver to use to clean up around my beard between razor shaves. I’m a hard guy to impress, but this shaver works great and is well built. It shaves close, it’s fast, and feels great in my hand. Well done, Wahl! A quality product from a quality company.
