Pros: It worked for me! I am in the process of getting a huge back piece done. So far I’ve had 2 sessions. It was great for the recovery as well. Whenever I used straight coconut oil my skin would break out. This was better at holding off itching (because of then Lidocaine) and very much helped for weeks after the tattoo. I had heard about people having reactions to it so test it on a small area on the back of your hand or something 1st. I feel like people that have adverse reactions just aren’t that used to drugs in general, or get some product with unsafe levels of lidocane in it. My artist has used many numbing products in his day and was happy to try this one for me.

Cons: It doesn’t really start to work until the skin is opened. But look, it’s a tattoo. If you’re not prepared for a little pain what’re you even doing? This may be a problem though for super painful areas. In which case I hear beforehand you apply the glide and then cover with plastic wrap. This will keep it from evaporating and ready to go faster. Again, this makes your skin absorb more so be cautious and remove at any signs of feeling “weird”.

I am a 40yo male, 5’9″ and 170#. I have no problem keeping this stuff applied for weeks. Great for right after a shower, especially in drier states when you tattoo is almost immediately on fire when dry.

This product does not live up to what it’s supposed to do which is numb, the skin I am a tattoo artist and I was told that it should numb the skin a little at least, and it doesn’t seem to do that therefore, I want more money back.

Works amazingly to glide across a tattoo. Also has a numbing agent that takes the edge off.

It really amazing. I have no oozing or swelling after they’re done tattooing. Doesn’t even need to be wrapped. It heals record time. I believe it’s all because of this glide. It’s numbing effect is mild but helps take the edge off. And the fact that it’s got no petroleum is another large factor contributing to it being so great. I would buy it over and over. In fact, I don’t think I’ll ever have another tattoo without it. Highly recommend!! highly recommend even though it is expensive. It is worth every penny.

So this did work for me. I used it because my artist had a heavy hand 😅. She does good work but I was concerned I wouldn’t be able to sit still for areas like my collar bone, near the armpit, neck and ribs. So far I’ve only used it on my chest.

Some advice. I wouldn’t apply it beforehand because it does make applying the stencil harder. The stencil comes out faded as if it couldn’t stay on the skin. Another reason not to apply it beforehand is because I feel it doesn’t help. It only numbs the area slightly after the skin has been broken into. It doesn’t take all the pain away but it helps with the discomfort. The artist can use it to lubricate the area instead of what they normally use while tattooing.

Wow! It worked. I had 3 hours without it and it was TERRIBLE!! I had to tap out. I got a peacock big enough to cover my entire side on the ribs up to my breast down to my hip bone. Then feathers swirls and flowers around the full waiste. This thing covers all the way around! 7 hours total. No color just shading. The 2nd session was the all shading and let me tell you when I say I couldn’t let the artist shade my rib section or side I COULD NOT! I had the artist use this to wipe while working on me the entire time as a substitute for the regular product she used in the first session, wow! I just laid there and talked to the kids did snap chat and chilled! I combined it with a lidocaine product prior to starting the work. I put that on where I got the work, wrapped with plastic wrap from my kitchen and left it on for 3 hours to let it soak in good. Before the artist arrived, I took it off rubbed it in and handed her the Nothing product asking her to use it while she worked and not her product for cleaning and sanitary wiping. I also took a pain pill 1.5 hours prior to starting and sipped a little mixed drink. Lol. Hey It hurts like hell on the ribs! Don’t judge me lol. Wanted to share since it took a lot of research to get this pain free experience. Can’t wait to get color and added flowers to the work in a few months.

Since this only works after the skin is broken, I coupled it with Ubernumb, which I applied in advance per that product’s directions. I then brought the H20 with me for the artist to use in place of their regular glide. I had multiple tattoos before without numbing cream, but this was my first rib panel so I wanted to ensure the edge would at least be taken off the pain so I could sit well for longer sessions. First 3-4 hour session for outlining and shading, I actually felt nothing except the artist touching me, some vibration and a bit of pain only in a few spots.

I used both products again for the next 2 sessions and while it definitely helped, I did feel more pain during these color sessions, but I was still able to last through 3-4 hours each time.

My artist loved the H2O so much that she ordered some for herself. I worked perfect for both of us, so win-win. So I highly recommend it. Again, I also used Ubernumb in advance H2O during.
My only complaint with either product is the shelf life is not that long. I used both again for future work after they expired with mixed results so I do wish H2O came in a smaller tub. Otherwise it will expire before you finish the tub unless you’re engaged in a large tattoo like aback piece with multiple sequential sessions. It is expensive.
